A good TV + sound (please read the sound part)
Update:Sony has updated their software and now I have no problems. I have also switched to wired lan for better performance of the TVIn my opinion, sony's picture & quality is way better than samsung's 4K.Sound:I have seen people talking about how they don't like these speakers. You should love them:I am a big fan of sound quality. I used to design audio amplifiers (I have a PhD in EE).I have a good sony sound system attached to my TV with subwoofers and everything. But I usually don't turn it on and use the TV itself.On this TV, I have no reason to turn my sound system on at all!!! The sound quality is awesome. Good bass, filling sound. They have 3 speakers on each side to cover a full range of frequencies. But the most awesome part in my opinion is the woofer part:THEY HAVE INNER AIR DUCTS AND SOUND BOX FOR THE INTERNAL WOOFERS!!! dude, I have never seen such attention to sound in a TV. They have put a full sound system within this TV and you will get sufficient bass even without using their external subwoofers.Engineering on this TV is awesome.In my opinion, don't waste your money on other cheap brands. This TV (mine is 55) is worth like $4000 compared to the existing market.Original review 3 stars (This review was in August so they were still updating the software)It's an awesome TV. Everything looks fine. You can notice a bit distortion accross the vertical sides but I guess that is normal for all TVsMy problem is the firmware. Sony doesn't do anything about it.It crashes alot. I'm watching a movie and it crashes. Sometimes I have to unplug the TV. Also wifi disconnects alot.

Nice TV, need better remotes.
Nice TV! Clearest picture I have seen. Audio is excellent with woofer, tweeter, midrange.Could use a better remote control unit. Comes with a skimpy looking remote and a weird touch pad type remote, which is tough to use. I would have preferred an extra regular remote. Also has a camera in the upper left corner of the sceen, we cover that up with a plastic sheild, not interested in having web access to my living room!Make sure you get a heavy duly mount for this TV, it weighs in at about 70 kg, we had to put in 2 X8 braces behind the wall to hold this up.Also got the strongest bracket I could find at Fry's. You do not want to drop this on the floor!Rob

I got Sonyed and it Hurts
worst backlight bleeding ever like someone put there knee through the tv just below center like a football so thick and with thick straight vertical lines also lines up and down center and right side left and right huge green and purple booming video playback is choppy and clippy amazon should demand sony quality control not be so disrespectful on these 4000 tvs. also no replacements and not coming back in stock so I'm sittin pretty stupid on this one. just siting in the disrespect if amazon doesn't hook it up with a discount or get sony or amazon themselves to give me a replacement when the new line comes out you'd think amazon would get tired of cleaning up the mess while they let people get Sonyed year after year. watch out startin another year.

Screen issues with my TV
After placing the TV on the wall mount we started playing the demos. After watching the demo there is a 5 inch gradient line going across the center of the screen. There are also tiny lines at the top of the screen. I tried everything to get rid of the lines but had to call Sony customer service today. They said a tech person will call me within 24 hours. Oh my, very disappointed today but once the issue is resolved the picture quality looks fabulous!

About the TV, its great, I have no problems with it and recommend it to anyone. Its a big TV and the only real problem is finding a stand that it fits on, otherwise you will not be disappointed.Now I want to relay my customer service experience with the vender, Starpower. To start I want to say it was indeed a phenomenal experience. My issue was that I received a defective TV. I contacted Starpower and they forwarded me to Sony to rectify the situation. I spoke to the reps at Sony and they said the TV was damage and referred me back to Starpower. Needless to say I was expecting to get the runaround and after spending $5,000.00 on a TV, I was not in the mood, but then I was contacted by Brian Wiley who said to me "Mr. Brown what's going on". After I explained to him my situation, He then exclaimed "Don't worry about it, we'll take care of you" and he did. He got me in contact with Elisha Eby and the rest is history. I am enjoying my TV and its all because of them. Brian and Elisha kept in constant contact with me throughout the whole process of sending my TV back and receiving a new TV from them. Because I'm here on the east coast, with the time difference, sometimes I would forget and call at an inopportune time and it was no problem for them. They responded to all my requests and were extremely helpful. Because of them I will buy from Starpower again. Brian and Elisha should be formally recognized by the company (Starpower) for doing such a great job. I could tell by the way they treated me, that this type of service was not new and that this was how they treated all their customers, top notch. I just wanted to say again, they did a phenomenal job and again, because of them I am/will be a loyal customer.

It is Beautiful. The only thing is, there has been no 4k for me to watch! My husband is crazy about it. The sound is Amazing. No Surround sound needed for me. Those Speakers are is all we need in our small apartment, yea!

It worked fine until March then the red lights blinked 4 times ...
We bought this tv in Jan 2015. It worked fine until March then the red lights blinked 4 times and the tv went off, it would not come back on until you unplugged it. it would happen all over again. We called Sony and got a case number. They told us they would send us another tv and pick up our tv. They wanted to send us a furbished tv and we told them no we wanted a new tv . It took almost 2 weeks but it finally got here. It was a refurbished tv and the screen was cracked, so we wouldn't accept it. All we want now is our money back. We are tired of dealing with Sony. I will not buy from Sony again.Do not buy this tv.
