What are the demensions of the mouse itself?

Not exact, but about half the size of a conventional mouse.

Does it work with a macbook? I have a macbook air/

Yes. Thank you Texas Mac Repair Inc

How to install? I have plugged it in to 2 different computers and it doesn't work? Is there software to install?

Dear Ms Thompson, Normally you would be able to receive a USB connection right away. The only requirement is that you will need to have a computer with an available USB port. In case the mouse is not working, I would like to advise you contact the Amazon customer service. The customer service will provide you with a new mouse in case that the mouse is not working. You are able to contact a customer service employee on the following page: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201945430 It is possible to press contact us at the bottom of that page.
