Gorilla alarms arent just for motorcycles. Works great for high end scooters in the city too.
Great alarm for my daughters scooter. Purchased a much cheaper alarm only to have the vibration / motion alarm going off all hours of the night and day because of passing trucks. The Gorilla gave us the ability to turn off the motion alarm (warns you of the trucks and parking garagres in the operations manual) We set the tilt alarm. If anyone rocks her scooter off its center stand or begins to turn the steering wheel the alarm will go off. This alarm is simple to install. I took the extra time to avoid installing it under the seat and concealed it in the front plastics mounted to the steering colum. Great alarm. Will definately recomend to anyone that asks.

Very nice.
Very simple install. To set the LED a drill will be needed but beyond that take off your seat and plug and play. Super loud. I can tap my handlebars or mirror and even the plastics and get a warning from it. It does allow you to set the sensitivity. Could use a second remote. Fast shipping. Also, just so you know there are install videos on youtube.com.

Back to Formula
After installing the first Gorilla 9000 according to directions it would not power up. I double checked the wiring and fuse but the unit was dead. I exchanged it for another 9000. The second one powered up fine and worked for a while, then... multiple false alarms after calibration with tech support and additional troubleshooting. It's cost me hours of time and disrupted my sleep due to falsely going off in the middle of the night. This product is not ready for the consumer market and is technologically flawed.Unfortunately, I can't get a refund on the time I've spent installing and un-installing a poorly designed alarm... disappointed.

Great alarm, easy install. Rubbish remote.
Easy install, took only a few minutes (would vary depending on how easy it is to access your battery). Nice sounding alarm, louder than most cheaper alarms, with different tones - sounds like a real alarm! Instructions are easy to follow including how to set sensitivity etc.For a simple, plug and play alarm it can’t be faulted. You can buy a few cheap alarms and throw them out (false alarms, or the other extreme -> not sensitive - I have been there on both sides) or invest in a good one like this. Compact, reliable, easy to install. The BIG BIG BIG downfall is the remote - it is trash. The buttons do not work very well, it can sometimes take a few presses to get the alarm to deactivate. You can see the LED will not light up until you press a few time in different places. Other times it works first go. This has been mentioned in other reviews. I will probably upgrade to the 2-way pager remote soon, as it is a better values upgrade than getting a spare (rubbish) standard remote. The other negative is that there is only ONE remote included - this is obvious when you buy the alarm, but who can feel safe with only one remote - what happens if you lose or damage it? It is almost forcing you to buy extra remotes or upgrade to the 2-way kit.3 stars given due to the crap remote and the fact there is only one. The alarm itself is 5 stars, but what good is an alarm with a bad remote?

Best alarm ever
If you want to protect your bike then this is for you. Tilt, shock, electrical sensor are great. The alarm is loud and works so well, that one day I forgot to turn the alarm off before I started my bike, the alarm went off to let me know someone started it. Really great for the price.

I don't like it
Pros:Good value and very loud.Cons:Alarm keeps going off randomly anywhere I park the bike. Shock sensor works good, you can set the sensitivity to it. If you live in an apartment complex, best advised to disable the shock sensor but keep the tilt and current sensors on. Unless of course, you don't mind the bike going off once every night. That's with shock sensor disabled.I've been doing lots of reading, folks are claiming the issue is with the tilt sensor. My advise: When installing the alarm and hooking it up to the battery, MAKE sure the bike will be in the same leaning angle when parked and armed anywhere. Otherwise you will enjoy its music.I would love for Gorilla to make its alarm smarter by capturing the lean angle when arming the alarm and not constantly referencing to the original lean angle of when the alarm was installed.Takes about 20-30 mins to install, depending on how inclined you are.

It worked great, and was still working when I sold the ...
This the second one that I have owned. The first was on my Honda CBR 600rr. It worked great, and was still working when I sold the bike. The one I have now I just installed on my 2016 Harley Davidson Iron 883. Installation was easy with simple hand tools. Works great. But followThe instructions...... Do not hook-up to power until you are ready to program the remote(s).

For such a great item the cheap fob activator lets it down badly.
This is a great product it is the 3rd one I have for my bikes but it has the same problem with the fob activator it doesn't always work you have to keep pressing until it does
