Honestly, my headline isn't saying much, though-- Is it? I mean, it's not like there's a choice when it comes to mobile phone batteries. I have a Motorola phone, and it needed this specific battery. There's no comparable model from another company, unless I want to get a Hong Kong counterfeit or something. No, when it comes down to it, this was the only choice when it comes to powering my cell phone.So reviewing it is basically one question: Does it work?Why yes, it works. I put it in my phone, and my phone powered on. I charged my phone, and the battery filled with energy. I left my phone on, and the battery continued to provide power to my phone. At no point did it fail, or complain, or not fit. At no point did it provide any surprises. It didn't even explode, as cell phone batteries are sometimes rumored to do! It just sat there, in my phone, and provided electricity.So yeah, it gets five stars. It does what it's meant to do. It's low-priced, and provides good value for the money. It doesn't explode. I don't think you can ask for more when buying a proprietary battery which only manufactured or marketed by one company for their own line of cell phones. I suppose the nicest thing I could say is that if I did have a choice of a different manufacturer's battery, I'd still probably get this one because it's first-party, and first-party electronics are generally more reliable than third-party electronics.I will make one note, and that is this: When you buy a refurbished cell phone from AT&T, don't expect them to have put a new battery in it before shipping it to you. That's the reason I needed this item in the first place: My refurbished phone came to me nearly dead. I thank Motorola (and the seller) for providing me with the ability to keep my phone on for more than a day at a time, and still not causing it to explode.Fine engineering, indeed.

I own two Motorola Cell Phones Model W376g that use the BQ50, so I purchased two BQ50 OEM replacement batteries at the price offered. The batteries are like most new cell phone batteries in that they need to be fully charged before first use. Only one phone needs a replacement battery at this time. I charged the battery overnight and it has been over a week and the phone has no problem taking or keeping the full charge.Update - After 90 days of use, I can longer recommend this item as the battery now has trouble holding the charge. As one user commented on this item, I believe the date of 2009 on the package does in fact represent the date of manufacture, date of issue, or date best used by. Before purchasing this item, I suggest you contact the seller to ensure the date on the battery you are purchasing is acceptable to you.

This is a pretty simple piece of plastic (and some simple electronics) that basically connects a USB charger to a cell phone battery. It handles at least 4 different battery sizes. Note that this does not come with a USB charger! But it does work with either a mini or micro USB charger. It has a red LED indicating that the battery is charging, and when it's fully charged, the LED turns green. I also bought a spare battery, so when my cell phone battery gets real low, I just swap out a freshly charged batter and start charging my old battery. Pretty quick and easy. It shipped from China, which took a few weeks... It hadn't arrived by the time indicated, so I contacted the sellers and they indicated it had shipped. It then showed up a few days later (with a postmark of the day they said it had shipped).

My old phone was just sitting around not being used so I decided to get a new battery and put it into service as an emergency phone. I received the battery and installed it, but it would not charge, so I ordered a new charger, still not charging, then I "jumped" the battery with another higher output transformer, and it started to charge, I started the procedures to get it hooked up to cell service the next day and noticed it was STILL trying to charge the first bar (33%) of the battery. Plus I found out that this phone is no longer supported AFTER I got all the parts. So the battery was marginal, but it was mostly my cell company that ruined this deal. But be aware that ANY battery for a device this old may never work at all, or marginally for a year or so...

So glad to not only recieve the batteries on time given which was a date given from-to and recieved it on the from date, so glad for that, and the batteries had a 3/4 charge on them so the charging time didn't take too long, so far so good. I do have to say Thank You Amazon for finding reliable sellers for us and at great prices, along with worrying that I wouldn't have been able to find, since most manufactures think that just because they keep updating or rather coming out with newer phones that the others are not broke and are still useable, so glad I was able to still keep up with my other cell phones that are not broken; once again Thank You Amazon and DB Roth as well for partnering with Amazon so as I can still use my motorola tracfone hope you keep up with the so called out dated phones that the manufacturers have given up on, Thanks for being there I will shop with DB Roth again if need be and spreading the word as well Motorola Bq50 Battery Snn5804b for W175 W230 W376 W377 .

I wanted to buy a backup battery for my W233 phone, so I purchased this battery. It did not charge and did not power the phone. Voltage was 1 volt at the terminals. I called up the seller and got a refund without return. I then ripped off the outer paper from the battery and was in the process of disconnecting the circuitry when I decided to measure the direct cell voltage. Surprisingly, the voltage was around 4 volts, normal for these batteries. I then fixed the bent up terminals, taped the circuitry together, and placed the battery in my phone. It worked good. I used it during the Hurricane Sandy power outage without any issue. Now it is kept in my 72 hour kit. Buy at your own risk!

Was a bit dubious before I bought it, the pictures were not too clear as to what the back was like. I thought it had a 13A 3pin plug as a permanent fixture. It has not the plug is a slide in adapter. It charges fairly quickly. Using it with my Sony Xperia certainly is of benefit. Android phones are power hungry, and the travel charger is a must if you are out and about. When the phone is getting flat I just plug the charger in and the phone is recharged in a matter of minuits.A must. The product is first class.

Took 10 days to arrive! I had thrown in the towel and bought a new phone by then. Hence only 3 stars.It ships from the States apparently - so if you need a new battery in a hurry, use another seller.If you don't then I am sure the battery is fine.

Can prolong the life of a superannuated mobile, and postpone the day you move to a decent modern one.So good or bad, depending on what you think of this.But it is genuine, and it works.

Battery would not hold charge, and after trying to charge battery for many weeks phone started to behave in a strange way. Replaced battery with old original battery and phone went back to normal. This battery was rubbish. Complained to mobile hut twice through amazon. Still no joy.Rubbish product and rubbish service.

The battery supplied is a great one and is clearly OEM. I came fully charged although I did put it onto a 10 hour charge and its renewed the life of my old phone since with extended use no problem. An excellent purchace, give them a try, at the price what can you lose and if its the same as mine then its win win all the way.
