Good, lightweight, folding, wheelchair.
Update on original review:I recently had to have some work done on my wheelchair. All I can say is that EZ LIte Cruiser is truly awesome to work with! I will definitely buy from them again. I am very pleased with the chair!Original Review:Even though I have limited walking abilities, I've needed to use a powerwheelchair for over 20 years. My other wheelchairs have all been purchasedthrough medical insurance. The pros:This wheelchair weighs a lot less than any of my previous chairs, over 150lbs less.I like the way it sits, but I did put in a previous cushion that has a gelinsert. Even with the cushion that came with it, it's softer to sit in than my old wheelchair. Most power wheelchairs have a solid, metal seat. This has webbing, smilierto a lawn chair. It folds and my husband can get it into our car. I still have to use thewheelchair carrier on the back of our car. It's nice in the rain that hecan fold it and put it inside and there is no need to hassle with trying tocover it.The seller was very easy to work with. We live a couple of hours away fromtheir office. I emailed them and said we would be in the area. I asked ifwe stopped by, would they adjust the controller for me. They said noproblem. While we where there, we bought the elevating legs. I also had aheadrest from one of my old wheelchairs, and they helped us adapt it tothis new one.I need a back that reclines. My previous chairs had power backs. I wasconcerned about a manual. I can however, reach back with my right hand andadjust the back while still sitting in the wheelchair. I don't have manyproblems with my upper body. I don't think a frail, weak, or personotherwise upper body impaired would be able to do that. The directions sayto adjust the back before sitting down. A helper could easily adjust itwhile a person was in the wheelchair.I was concerned about the battery life, but it does seem to be sufficientfor my needs.I was also concerned about having enough power. I have a personal ramp thanI need to use that is a lot steeper than the ADA allows for public use. Thewheelchair goes up my ramp with no problem. The cons:Since it doesn't have the solid pan seat, it flexes when on unlevelsurfaces. It's an unusual feeling to get used to, but I'm sure I will withmore time.I find the controller a bit squirrelly After turning, the wheelchairsometimes wobbles (for lack of a better word) back and forth a bit. I amlearning to compensate, but it's definitely a learning curve.I can only get about 3.5 miles per hour, rather than the close to 5 mph itmentions.Summary:I really like this chair a lot and am glad I got it. I wouldn't recommendit for someone who was going to use it to travel miles in it on a regularbasis. I mean for use in place of a car to go to the store for example. Iwould use it for miles for exploring and recreation on an occasional basis. My older chairs are the type that people can use to replace cars or publictransportation for several miles every day. I just am not sure this chairwould hold up to that usage, but it might. It great that it's lightweight and folds easily. It will make transportingit a lot easier.I think this wheelchair will be good for my needs.

I like this chair.....but
Overall, I like this chair. I have used it on cruise ships, shopping malls, gravel walkways, neighborhood roads, and many other places. The battery has very good range. The chair folds very nicely and can be easily lifted into the back of our SUV.However, there is a significant issue. This chair should not be used on public sidewalks. Since there is no front steering control, the chair will sharply veer towards the street when you come to a driveway cutout. Any slanted driving surface will see gravity win and the chair is uncontrollable. The rear drive motors do not have any way to control this situation. If you plan to travel often on public sidewalks, you might consider buying something else.

I could easily go shopping go around the house and I even ...
It is a bit heavy so folding and loading into a car is a bit hard for my wife. The instruction booklet is also not very friendly, it took some time for us to figure out how to charge. With those few negatives, I can say that the chair did fulfill my needs. I could easily go shopping go around the house and I even tried taking it to the beach. I could go all the way on the wooden walk ways until I reach the sand. Obviously it cannot run in the sand. The other issue with this chair is it is very awkward to push the chair, since the top part of the chair can loosely fold down. I also feel a bit uncomfortable with the foot rest. I wish it was a bit outward for more comfort. the chairs edges also poke a bit on my legs. I can give only 3 stars

EZ liete Cruiser Heavy Duty Review
This chair was bought for my wife. We did not want to invest a lot of money in a wheelchair van. It is light weight and I can pick it up and set it in the back of our van without assistance. If you have a car it collapses easy and will fit in the trunk of your car. If you want to fly on an airplane they are approved for use on airlines. You check the collapsed wheel chair in with regular baggage, and remove the battery and have it checked by the airline, and take it aboard with your over head luggage. It has a speed of 5 miles per hour and goes up steep hills easily. Going down hill if you get going fast you just remove your hand from the throttle and it breaks automatically. The seat and back rests are comfortable and well made. There are a variety of extras that were designed for this wheel chair that you can order in to meet your individual needs. It comes with a manual, and there is a web site with color videos to help you set it up and use it safely. It travels a five miles per hour and a charge is good for about 2 hours of steady driving. It is extremely well built and there are people you can talk to Monday through Friday. This wheel chair travels well over most surfaces including smooth hard packed dirt, level grass, asphalt, and cement. It loses control on worn out, uneven asphalt surfaces that have not been maintained and are very rough so stay off of them1

This Chair Changed My Elderly's Friends Life !
I cannot say enough about this amazing wheelchair ! It is worth every penny! I bought one for an elderly friend who was trapped inside of her house and now she is able to go anywhere she wants on her own. She just uses Lyft.com and Uber.com and gets them to come pick her up and the driver just puts the wheel chair in the trunk of the car. The wheelchair just folds right up and fits perfectly right in the trunk. When she gets where she wants to go the driver just pulls the wheel chair out of the trunk and unfolds it for her. At that point she can just go anywhere she wants on her own. The chair has give her total freedom and mobility to do the things that she just couldn't and didn't enjoy doing anymore because she would get too tired. I highly recommend this chair to anyone who wants a lightweight, portable wheelchair that has the power and mobility to go anywhere.

Have two hip replacements and enjoy use in house only
Have two hip replacements and enjoy use in house only. I have another collapseable one to use outside or for travel. I have a ramp for this one but not physically able to set up and use without help. This one is much more comfortable and easier to maneuver, thus my five star rating.
