Timbuk2 Uptown Laptop Backpack (Concrete)

I borrowed my daughter’s Timbuk2 Uptown backpack for a plane trip out of state and fell in love with it. It is comfortable to carry or wear on my back and holds SO much stuff. I like to be really organized on my travels, so that I don’t have added stress from trying to remember where I put needed items and this backpack is really easy to organize, with its many pockets and zippered areas. Also, the padded area for laptop or iPad can easily unzip and lay flat for airport screening- no need to remove it from backpack. So...when I got home, I ordered my own and I am so glad I did. I use it a lot. I highly recommend it!

I really like this backpack. I have purchased about 4 different ones for my everyday carry bag. I was having problems finding that size sweet spot. Some were too big, some too small, some had pockets but when you loaded the back pockets the forward pockets became unusable. This one fits just right. It has the laptop area directly behind the straps which is awesome for a heavy item like a laptop. I also put my iPad Pro (large 2nd series) in there as there is a padded sleeve in there as well. The main compartment is great for a weekend carry on too and there is good organizational storage in the front. My only gripe about this bag is how the laptop sleeve opening is and the actual positioning of the sleeve inside the bag. There is a piece at the bottom of the bag you have to move or roll out of the way to get the zipper all the way around the bottom corner to get the laptop out. If the laptop sleeve were a cut out along the side and top you wouldn’t have to undo the zipper all the way to get the laptop out. Overall though I am giving it a 4 out of 5 because of that pesky zipper and laptop sleeve accessibility .
