Lang Patchwork Christmas by Susan Winget Jigsaw Puzzle (500-Piece)

Unfortunately Lang puzzles have really gone downhill in quality. This is the third Lang puzzle I have purchased in recent years and each one had serious issues. PROS: Lang puzzles have very cute images and that is the main reason I have purchased them. Also, I like the unique cut of their puzzles. CONS: While I like the idea of the easel box, it's a real liability when they make the easel box so small. It's near impossible to make all the pieces fit back in the box. When you try, you understand why so many are bent upon opening. I usually bag up my pieces and put the sealed bag in the box when finished with a puzzle. There is no room to do this with this box and no way to securely keep the box closed with loose pieces. I see this as a major flaw. Another major problem is with how their pieces are being cut. Dozens of pieces in the puzzle are not cut through and there is no way to separate them without ruining the pieces. There are some you can separate but doing so, leaves peels and flaws in the pieces. Many pieces in the box are bent or have other defects. Cardboard backings are peeling off other pieces. Also, I learned the hard way that Lang does not stand behind their puzzles unless you purchase them directly from their company. Thus, if you buy on Amazon, make sure you open and complete your puzzle before your option for return runs out or you will likely be out of luck in terms of returning or exchanging it.

I wanted to love this puzzle. Three great reviews led me to thinking this would be a good, if not great, quality puzzle. It is cute, very! Love the box design and wish other puzzle manufacturers would adopt this also. However, and this is a big *however*, the physical puzzle itself is just terrible. Our puzzle came mostly put together (new in packaging). Okay, not great but I could separate the pieces. However, when I sat down to do that, they were hard to separate and the tabs would bend and the some of the paper/cardboard would peel off - and I was very careful (hence why I was doing it and not the kiddo). NOT good, at all. I paid almost $20 for a puzzle that was this terrible in quality? Nope, not going to happen. I packaged it back up and it's already on it's way back to Amazon. I'm hoping this is a rare problem and that we just got a dud. Unfortunately, it has soured me on Lang puzzles and I won't be purchasing them in the future.

Bought this for my elderly Mother last year. Puzzle arrived in wrap seal and everything appeared to be of Lang quality, until she unsealed and started to work on the puzzle this Dec 2016. She discovered the puzzle pieces in the Patchwork Christmas box were actually the Lang Deer Friends puzzle and not Lang's usual quality. Since she already has the Deer Friends puzzle it didn't take her long to recognize the error. I am very disappointed because the Patchwork Christmas puzzle is no longer available at a reasonable price. Buyer beware not all quality brands listed on Amazon live up to expectations.

Beautiful puzzle and fun and pretty easy to assemble.

This puzzle was given as a gift, but was well received by the recipient. Because Lang puzzles are usually well made, I am confident that this one is too. I especially like the fact that the lid with the picture of the puzzle is easel-style for ease when assembling the puzzle.

Our family loves doing puzzles when we all get together. At Christmas time we don't have as much time so a simpler puzzle was in order. This worked great, was fun to do and with a patchwork look each person could work on their own part.

I wanted something that the whole family could enjoy and participate in with the latitude of individual commitment. The cold winters of New England can be a drag and this passes the time nicely. The quality of the puzzle is good and it was a fun thing to do for all of us.
