Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Great controller, love the handle grips and ability to customise the trigger depth. However, the paddles do not have their own mapping and are merely shortcuts for other buttons that can be mapped on the xbox with the middle button on the controller being used to switch between mapping profiles.The case is great for portability however the extra thumbsticks are overshadowed by products like Kontrol Freeks that are just better than swapping out the default sticks.I do not know what other reviewers are saying about the controller breaking, I do assume they are getting too competitive in a game and.. well you know.It’s a great controller however not much of an upgrade to using a normal controller and not really worth spending the extra money

Had heard horror stories about the first batch of elite controllers Microsoft released and it is a lot of money to part with compared to the standard Xbox controllers, but I thought I would take the plunge, try the series 2 and hope they had ironed out the defects that many people suffered with from the first edition. When it arrived I was very happy, it comes with a carry case with charging dock inside, various interchangeable thumb sticks, it all looks very smart and secure.Initially when I began using the controller, a couple of the buttons (A button mainly) were sticking. I was on the verge of sending the controller back. After a little research I am led to believe this is down to the adhesives they use to assemble to controller getting in the wrong place. However I continued to use the controller and after a day or two the buttons stopped sticking and all is working like normal, and is still all good and working correctly after heavy use.The battery life is one of the things I am most impressed with, and the extra long charging cable is also very useful.Overall the controller is comfy to hold, albeit slightly heavier than a standard controller, but this is easy to get used to. It is also easy to set up, and the button mapping selector is useful for changing from one style of game to another.To conclude if anyone does happen to still be reading this, excellent controller that feels well made, and if you do have any initial problems with sticky buttons, persevere for a day or two before you go through the hassle of sending back as it may sort itself out like mine did.

The media could not be loaded. I read so many reviews on this before I night . Some were very negative but I went for it anyway considering how great the standard controller is. I must say I am so glad I bought this. Been using it for a while now and honestly the quality is amazing. I love the customisation options it’s has to make the stick more responsive and the trigger buttons especially for games like SF6. I would highly recommend to any gamer out there looking for a perfect controller. Very happy with my purchase and I disagree with all the negative responses on this product it’s absolutely the. Way controller I have ever used 100%!!

This is disgusting! All Elite 2 controllers should be removed from sale until Microsoft fixes their pathetic manufacturing of them!I got this as a Xmas present for my son last month and yesterday happened to come across some reviews by chance. Nearly all of them went on about the various faults the Elite 2 was having so knew i had to open the box etc and check it out before i gave it to my son for xmas. Low and behold straight away the A button cannot be pressed without getting stuck in the plastic casing!!! This is something £1 Chinese budget controllers you can get in the pound shop would do not a £150 Microsoft controller!!! It literally feels like their is glue or something behind the button that keeps it pressed in, it then affects the input so button A, one of the most used buttons on the controller is basically useless! Who wants to press the A button ten times just to jump once?!Now the above issue is bad enough but the useless thing also drifts upwards on the left stick!!! Are Microsoft for real, HOW is this allowed?! The controller was brand new out the box too all sealed with it's stickers etc. I have Xbox 360 controllers that work flawlessly from over a decade ago but a new controller at £150 straight out the box is in this state?! They are scamming people with these, i have a replacement coming tomorrow but if it is even remotely having similar issues it is getting sent back for a refund which will then mean me having to hunt a new present for my son at the last minute.All i can say is thanks to everyone who flooded the internet with bad reviews / articles etc about this so i managed to see in time and check it before Xmas as my Son would have been very disappointed trying to play his games on Xmas day with this joke of a controller!!!It is quite obvious Microsoft have cut the quality of manufacturing at some stage of assembly in order to save money and it is now coming back to bite them! Just make them with the same quality the Xbox 360 ones had Microsoft!!!

Very good controller, has good weight to it. Great customisation and setting presets that you can apply to match your play style. Biggest issue is, the controller seems to not last very long. Lots of issues with stick drift and loss of bumpers so you end up having to return it. When it is actually working it would up there as potentially one of my favourites

Had the controller for over a year now and it's been perfect the whole time. Even after dropping it a few times I still don't have stick drift. The fact you can change everything about the controller on the inside and out is the best. The presets are great for different games and help a lot. The carry case the probably the best thing that comes with it - the charging station that comes with the case is amazing and fast charging as well so I only have to charge it once every few weeks.
