Honestly, I mostly bought this for fun. I rarely have a need to travel after drinking, but I thought it would be a fun little toy to have around. It has been very reliable and accurate, measuring accurately against a police calibrated unit that I often have access to. It's very compact and can easily be carried in my pocket. The biggest payoff has been breaking it out at parties and having friends realize that maybe they aren't as sober as they think. I am sure that it has kept many of them from attempting to drive. No matter what your purpose, if you drink it's definitely worth having around.

This is a great little device. Great for personal knowledge.

I have only had my breathalyzer for almost a week. Here's what I love so far...The Size of this breathalyzer is fantastic. The unit worked first time after put battery (1 AAA) blew until the beeping noise stopped after watching the very clear countdown from 5. I had not been drinking and did blow a 0.0 first time. When asking my son and husband to try, they both blew the same 0.2, but I was informed by them that they both used mouthwash that morning (test was about 3pm) and it does detect the alcohol in the mouthwash. BTW, using mouthwash to hide drinking is always a bad idea, it will elevate your numbers and most police are wise to the smell of fresh mouthwash.This little cutie also has a wonderful addition where it tells you after you blow and get your rate of alcohol, the amount of time you need to stop drinking and wait to drive. Incidentally, when it was only 0.2, it said to wait over an hour to drive without impairment.I also purchased the case that is available for this item and so glad I did. The case will keep the unit safe as well as clean. It is a hard shell with a zipper. I have the extra mouth pieces I purchased also in the case, in the other pouch available. If you keep the case and unit in your purse or car, you will always know the answer to that very important question... "To drive or to Uber?", as well as how long you should wait if you still want to take your car.I believe this is a small price compared to getting pulled over and in trouble. The costs of time off, and other legal issues is far more expensive vs the purchase of this little gem. I will get back and review again after having it for a few months.

Accurate and consistent reading. I would recommend to wait a few minutes after last sip or eating something or drinking water before taking a reading. This will help ensure that you get the most accurate results.

Bactrack asked me to write a review, but they might not like my review.Tl;DRThe device is not working, always returning 0. I have tried it 4 times, the time where I drunk the most was with 1 glass of wine and 2 cocktails, with a light meal, and still saying that I am sober (I was definitely tipsy).PS: I reached out to the support and made sure I was using the device properly, waited the appropriate time before using the device.Longer version:The support told me that you are supposed to wait up to 45 minutes as it can takes that long for alcohol to reach your bloodstream. And you should wait at least 15 minutes after your last sip. Obviously height, weight, gender, metabolism, food consumed, how quickly you drink will affect the results, but on my side, it has always returned that I was completely sober.The device is small and light, so easy to carry. It's quite quick to turn on, easy to us. I love UX of the device overall. The only minor comment is that it is hard to open the battery section.I am using an iPhone app, it's not a high-quality UX but does the job. My main comments are that it's sometimes slow, especially when you want to go through the different screens of a recording. I have to wait a few seconds of it to load/unfreeze.It also offers the ability to record what you consumed, but it's very not user friendly, and it requires a lot of effort to log a drink when in my opinion it should be super fast and easy.All this slowness/bad UX is fine as I am at home and have plenty of time to dedicate to that, but in a non-shelter in place situation when someone would like to use these features, I think it would be a bit more frustrating. But again to be fair, the MAIN feature of the device which is to inform you about the alcohol in your blood is fast and easy.It also does not offer a much data visualization, for instance I would love to be able to watch my drinking trends. I am using this device mostly to understand my alcohol consumption and see if it's reasonable. It might not be the goal of the main customer target, but I would really appreciate that feature.The customer support said that they would initiate shipping to inspect the unit, I am not super excited about having to do this but no choice... I will update my comment once I receive a new unit.

Works great but it needs to be sent in to the company for calibration, which isn’t mentioned in description. Sounds like a hassle.

This was purchased for my husband and myself to monitor changes in our tolerance levels as we’re aging. This brand was recommended by a law enforcement friend as being very accurate and reliable. The design/size is small and convenient to fit in a purse, but might be too large to fit in your pants pocket. I do wish it came with a plain carry bag, but I found one of my own that I can use. We’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, but the battery is going strong. The device seems durable and I believe it will last for quite a while.

Seems to be extremely accurate, as is the time until sober. Bought a different brand initially for half the price hoping to save money and it didn’t work at all. It’s worth the extra money to buy this one.
