I rely on these reviews a lot, so this is my chance to pay it forward. I originally bought their standard model as a gift for my girlfriend because it was such a good deal. It fit her needs nicely. She’s 5’ and 150. That recliner is something like 12” off the ground. It was fine for her but I’m an old, short and fat (5’6”; 270) guy and had difficulty getting out of it.So I bought myself this one. Same color and almost identical but 16” off the ground. The extra 4” makes all the difference in the world for me. I could easily get up and out without any problems.Plus, it not only has a cup holder on one side, it has a cellphone pouch AND a little pocket on the other side. Actually came in very handy at the beach.So we just got back from spending a few days at the beach. The chairs worked great. Light weight, easy to fold up and transport. It has a carrying strap built in too. We have a beach trolley, so we didn’t use them, but nice to have.These chairs are nice and wide and very comfortable. It has about five positions from flat to bolt upright. Easy to adjust too. It has a foot rest that flips out. It’s not very sturdy but worked fine.I never really tried the lay flat stick your face through the face cut out thing for very long. I did for about a half an hour. It’s not very comfortable but it works. And yes, you can stick your arms through the holes to read your phone or a book. It’s just not very comfortable. It works though if that’s your thing. My girl friend uses hers that way.The most important thing is this is very wide and comfortable and my short fat body fits just fine. I reclined the back several slots and actually fell asleep on the beach for like an hour. When I woke up, I looked over and my girl was asleep in hers!As I said, I’m a heavy guy and although I got in and out of my recliner carefully for fear of breaking it, it held up fine.So overall a great, comfortable recliner. Fit the bill perfectly for me. The only thing I can nit pick is that a couple of the screws have already started to rust. But the aluminum frame still looks like new.Spend the extra bucks and get the taller one if you can swing it. We have them around my girl’s pool now, and she uses mine when I’m not there. The back height and width are the same, but it’s amazing what an extra 4” of leg height makes.I recommend either, but especially the higher one.

One of my favorite purchases. I feel like the queen of the beach in this chair. Lays completely flat. Love the foot rest. My friend are jealous!

I just upgraded to the Ostrich 16-inch Altitude 3N1 Beach Chair. Ostrich makes great beach chairs. I like that this one is higher off the ground than my last one. I have a bad knee and it's easier to get up. I also like the leg extension. I hope it will hold up. I like the carry strap. And the chair feels a lot lighter than my old one. I also like the new material. It's more like a mesh than a cloth. I'm hoping it will dry faster and allow for air circulation. I also like that you can lay on your stomach. The face and arm openings are great for reading on your stomach while tanning your back. But I'm only 5'3". It's relatively comfortable for me. It's still winter so I haven't been able to really use the chair full time. But I'm looking forward to taking it to the beach.The only things I don't like about the chair are the cup holder and pouch on the side. The cup holder is not big enough for my 32 oz. bottle. The pouch on the other side does have a zipper. But it's not that big and I'm not sure what use the other pockets are for. It would be better to just have a zippered pouch.

I loved this chair. However, after using for 4 days the pull on the zipper broke off.I didn’t even use the zipper compartment every time.I was hesitant to purchase because of some of the reviews, but I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt.This is cheaply made, but you’d never know it from the cost. They only give you a 30 day warranty.Save your Money!

Price is much lower elsewhere and footrest is not adjustable for tall people which can be uncomfortable. I use it for beach purposes

Love the high seat off the ground for my bad knees. But, chair came damaged out of the box. Retuning, but can’t get the foot rest to collapse back the way it was packaged and delivered. Waiting to hear back from seller.

Sturdy chair will be used for reading and laying on stomach so I tan on both sides of my body. Only complaint is the lower foot area is awkward and I would like to to fold down towards the seat. I only seem to be able to have to stay up near th eback adding extra length making an easy store in the back of my car difficult
