Nicer Panama than expected.
I must say I didn't expect to get such a nice Panama hat on line... You hear the horror stories about the hat getting crushed, the size being way off, the customer not getting what they ordered in more ways than one. But my experience with Ultrafino headwear was great, zero complaints. Price is fare. Hat was delivered on time intact. They protect the hat in a nice box. And the size was spot on. I wear a 7 1/2 in fitted baseball caps and that's what I went with for my Panama. Fits perfect. So if a nice Panama is also your style buy with confidence. I'll add some pictures they always help.

BUYER BEWARE! Cheaply made hat, Horrible Customer service!
I ordered this hat in May 2020 and followed sellers instructions on how to protect the hat before ever wearing it which was to purchase Paul Lashton Premium Repellent and I coated the hat with the repellent based on the instructions.After about a month I noticed the hat started to discolor and there were marks all through the hat. I reached out to seller and this is their response:Thank you for contacting Ultrafino.com . Has been it exposed to the sun too much? If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.Shouldn't matter after a month whether you wore it out each day in the sun, the hat should not discolor especially when you follow their care instructions. I mean isn't that why you buy a hat in the first place to keep the sun off your head?They then said this: It could also be it got exposed to water or sweat. . But I thought if you follow their instructions on using the premium repellent that they don't give you, you have to pay separate for this shouldn't matter, again what a poor response.I went back and forth with them on this so they decided to try and get me to buy their cleaning kit, here was the response: You might want to remove it with our cleaning foam. I tried to clean the hat and it basically did nothing. Oh and they also tried to get me to buy sweat guards in the process but why would I need sweat guards if the Premium Repellent did its job?After all that back and forth, following their specific instructions and still not working I asked for an exchange or refund and this is what they tell me:Thank you for contacting Ultrafino.com .Unfortunately, our system is unable to process an exchange at this time since the order is over the 30 days return policy.If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.I recommend that no one buy a hat from this seller because obviously they don't care about taking care of their customers because if they did after following all their instructions and not to mention all the frustration they would at least offer an exchange but NO they state its after their 30 day return policy which is a load of crap! I am not asking to return it because i didn't like the hat but because there is no way after a month the hat should look like it does.The third pic I included is how the hat looked when i first received it and as you can see in my pics looks like a completely different hat.The only reason I posted this review is because I want to save someone else money and the headache if they order this hat. Also Ultrafino is not going to do anything for me but they can read this review because it is 100% the truth and the responses I included from them were copied and pasted directly from the emails they sent to me. But they are just trying to sell products not make customers happy so I'm sure this review isn't going to do anything, just hope I can save another buyer.What a crappy product and horrible seller!

The hat arrived well packaged. It is well formed. I recently visited a mens specialty hat store in Chicago. I had the opportunity to examine Monte Cristo hand woven hats from Ecuador of various quality ( priced from $500. to $ 5000. ) This hat was equivalent to their grade 3. Weaving is fine but has minor imperfections ( a few loose edges and variance in fineness of weave). This hat was priced at just over $100. with shipping. A relative bargain for this hat. I would recommend this hat.

Beautiful hat; comfortable and stylish.
A very nice looking hat. I have many hats and this one is sure to make its way to the top of the list quickly.The hat is package very well. It is wrapped in plastic and on is sitting on a cardboard cutout with padding between the hat and cardboard to prevent damage, all of which are in a box that will make sure the hat reaches you without any dents.This is a high quality hat; I've worn this hat twice since ordering and both times, I received compliments on look and quality. I had it on for about 3 hours and felt quite comfortable on a really hot and humid day. It goes really well with summer button down shirts. With a little ocean breeze and a fine cigar, you would think you are in Havana. :-)The two most important things for me when it comes to hats is how comfortable it is and how it will look when you wear it. Hats are very difficult to purchase online because the two points mentioned earlier are not possible when looking at websites. So ordering hats in this way is somewhat of a gamble. For this, my advice is to 1) know your size and 2) know what style of hats fits your face. If a hat fits you well, it will most likely be comfortable.In short, I'm happy with the purchase and if you like panama hats, I'm sure you will be too. It's hard to find this sort of quality and look at the price offered here.

What happened to the quality?
What a letdown. I bought one of these hats almost two years ago and it was wonderful. The material seemed robust and the brim snapped down to a rakish angle. So several days ago I ordered a second hata because I was traveling and a thousand miles away from the first one I had purchased. The new hat came yesterday. The maaterials were much lighter and the brim was floppy. It felt like a cheap knockoff of the hat I had gotten previously. Needless to say I am disappointed .

Use the size chart! My return for the too small hat was quick & easy. Reassuring communication from the seller. They want to please. I immediately reordered the right size. It's a wonderful hat! Cool & handsome. This hat is more delicate than my husband's everyday Aussie hat but he loves his HAVANA hat so much, he's willing to fuss over it. He gets compliments when he wears it. This will be a repeat purchase. LOVE THIS HAT!
