TYR Women's Tyreco Maxfit Swimsuit

My navy suit faded to pale cornflower after only a couple of washes. I doubt these are legitimate Tyr suits, as I haven't had any fading issues with Tyr suits purchased elsewhere.

I go swimming like five times a week in this. It does a great job covering my body and also not wearing out, I wash it once a week and it’s fine. I love it !

Classic suit with full coverage

I'm a fan of this swimsuit style. I swim with a senior team and work out often. I bought a red maxback suit earlier this year and it lost its color completely. Now it is a pinkish shade of rose. I hand wash it and do not wring it out. I'm disappointed! For a competition suit, the color should not fade so fast.

Very tight. Runs small

Considering that most designs and manufacturers have switched to poly/lycra which I do not like, I was happy to find this suit made from nylon/lycra but it does run a bit smaller than their old suits.

Great suit. Perfect weight for daily lap swimming. Runs very small. Followed size chart but couldn’t get it on. Not even close. I’m afraid to try another size because I have no clue what size to choose. If sizing works for you I think you’ll love the suit.

I gained some weight during covid and needed a swimsuit that fit me well for swimming and that made me comfortable to be around other people in. I was scared it wouldn’t fit but honestly the fit is amazing, better than I could’ve imagined. I haven’t swam in it yet but just with trying it on I’m very happy with this product. As an ex competitive swimmer I can say the quality looks good and it’s worth the money.

I absolutely love the red version of this swimsuit. I'm in the pool 3 times a week and it's held up great so far. As for the bright blue one I have, it faded quickly. The suit itself is still in good shape and I wouldn't care that it was lighter now except that it didn't fade everywhere. It stayed darker blue in awkward places (everywhere I have curves basically) and looks really inappropriate now. I even tried dyeing it but the dye didn't last long either. I might trying dyeing it black instead of blue as I do really love the style and fit otherwise but I don't have high hopes for it sticking.So I do recommend this suit but not the bright blue colour. The red hasn't faded at all and I have another TYR suit in navy that hadn't faded so I wouldn't expect this style to fade in that colour either.

This has been my "go to" suit for a few years, but the last few I have ordered have been of very different quality from the previous ones. I used to get about 1 year out of the suit (in the pool every day), but the last 3 have only lasted 2-3 months at most before they fade and the spandex starts to go. I note that the manufacturing country is listed as USA/China. I wonder if the previous ones were from USA and the latest are from China? Very disappointing. That said, I have just ordered another in a different colour - perhaps the different colour will be from a country different from the last few...at this price, I expect the old quality. Update - the blue is also made in China so we shall see how this holds up.

Some people like their lap suits really tight. 5’3” 115 lbs. 34-26-35 ordered a 36. According to the size chart I’m a 34. It’s tight, not too tight, but I could probably have gone for a 38.Nice quality. Only had it a few weeks. In the pool 4x a week. Still like new.

This TYR brand bathing suit was a dark navy colour when it arrived the second week in February. I’ve had it for just over a month and worn it to AquaFit classes at our local pool. Look how much the colour has faded!!You’d never know it was originally navy in colour!!! Is this an actual TYR brand or does TYR make cheaper versions just for Amazon?!?
