Poorly designed and falsely advertised.
Poorly designed - A well-designed mirrored compass has a sighting hole at the base of the mirror. This compass does not. The best way to sight with this compass is along the edge, but this position of the line of sight is not compatible with using the mirror, which is most accurate when placed in the center of the line of sight. Given that every reputable mirrored compass has a sighting hole through the mirror, I can only imagine that come committee - not familiar with how compasses work - thought they would shave a few pennies off the production cost by omitting the hole.Falsely advertised - The photo for this product clearly shows a custom screwdriver included as an adjustment tool for the declination screw. My purchase arrived without this tool, but with a small flat piece of metal (shaped like a screwdriver) instead. Which this provided an equivalent tool-like function, it is not the tool shown in the product image on which I based my purchase. Shame on the Manufacturer.

Blurry Mirror.
Mirror was do blurry, could not sight anything thorough it. Worthless for orienteering, which is why I bought it for my son to work on the Merit Badge. The arrow did point basically North.

Clearly a knock-off, but great quality
The Advantage is obviously a copy of more expensive compasses. However, it is a high-quality, durable product that I have used extensively as a compass and clinometer when surveying and building hiking trails. It lives in my trail-building pack along with tools and supplies -- a hostile environment for any delicate instrument. So far, so good.

Not good
It looks the part but don't rely on it for navigating. The compass needle doesn't move smoothly and gets hung up, it will regularly point to a false north, sometimes being off by as much as 90 degrees. You have to tap and bang it lots of times and even then I didn't trust what it was telling me.Buying this was a false economy for me. I should have spent more on a better compass. It's essentially junk.
