Patti Stanger: Married in a Year

Really insightful...
I've been a huge fan of Patti Stanger for a few years now so getting this dvd was complimentary to her book, "Becoming Your Own Matchmaker" and the teachings she's relayed on her show, "Millionaire Matchmaker". This dvd provides a visual perspective to her book, however, if you don't own the book you won't be lost. What I really enjoyed about the dvd was the special features where you get to see her sitdown with 4 gentlemen who've agreed to participate in a discussion about how they handle the dating scene, moving from dating to an exclusive, committed relationship, sex expectations (when they expect to get it and what happens if & when they don't), all the way to marriage and what makes them want to pop the question...it's all there and from the male perspective. It was funny and very enlightening. I've already recommended her book as well as this dvd to several of my single girlfriends. Simply put...watch, learn & enjoy!

For such a smart woman, I feel she lowered the bar.
I feel this woman knows enough to help people find love- or moreso a relationship. I do believe she knows what she is talking about in that aspect. I felt duped, even cheated for buying and watching this video, simply because it was the most obvious and poorly reenacted "duh" situations. I have found her show helpful, and by all means entertaining. She dropped the ball with this one.

Still single but great tips!
I watched it a couple of years ago and I was not married within a year but that might have more to do with the user than the advice. This time I hope it helps me get married or at least off Tinder for a bit.

this was good
I think the approach here is good. It was a bit showy and hollywoodish and I did like how it was natural but also respectful to show two different styles of women in the sample. The barbie doll type didn't get her guy which was a bummer but it did slog through how things work and the phases to go through to wait and see what can form. Very good format.

not her best work
love her or hate her, Patti is a firebrand. This video doesn't do her justice, much more entertaining and useful to watch her put some passion behind her message in all the seasons of the Millionaire Matchmaker. She's a brilliant woman, actually, but nearly all of the social situations in the video are badly scripted and many are simply null and void 13 years later (this was made apparently before everyone was left and right swiping like an addiction). That said, alot of this is timeless and I wish someone had forced me to read her book a decade ago... take what you need from all this and leave the rest. The bottom line is hold your self worth and say bye quickly to the users , losers, and time wasters. Sigh.....

Patt Stanger: Married in a Year
I love Patti on Millionaire matchmaker and now she has this video. I simply love it. It really tells you how to love yourself and what to do and not to do on each date. This is a must for any single woman to have!!! I love it!

I love Patti!
Patti has broken things down in a very common sense kind of way but unfortunately a lot of women wont get it or understand it until we have heard someone else say it. Great DVD, I have passed it along to my single girlfriends.

More joke than informative
I've watched Millionaire Matchmaker and enjoy it entertainment value, and I appreciated Patti's straight-shooting approach. I got this video out of sure curiosity and to see if she had any tips. But oh wow- This was a joke. I agree with the reviewer who noted poor production quality and terrible scripting. My friends and I are planning a watch party for the sole purpose to make fun of it.I say it's a joke, but it's also insulting to single women and also single men. She insults the women who attend her conference, she insults the men who she talks to at the round table discussion.... it's just awkward. The disappointing thing, though, is that this isn't the person she is on her TV show.Save your money or buy it cheaply. Or do what I did and make it a watch party for you and your single friends.

Good Funny But...
This woman is great and the idea of the video was good, but there was too much editing from the conference and the content could have been seen a little deeper.Yet, my friend and I enjoyed watching it
