Honeywell L4064B2210/U Fan and Limit Controller, 40 Degree - 190 Degree F Temperature Range, 11-1/2" Insert

Live where it gets very cold about end of October mid November. Bought the part in September cause here weather is very unpredictable. First started using maybe off/on end of October worked great till about mid November and then had to start to tap on the part so it would start the fan. So not impressed to get up during the night to have to get the furnace going and it’s 12 degrees outside!!!

Thought it was the transformer/ relay sticking open after warm seasonal temp changes. Nope, i t was the fan/ limit switch. Old design with a physical metal coil that moves and eventually gets rusty. This part should keep my unit running until the blower finally dies. The parts houses locally, who are actually willing to sell to residential, were asking sometimes 2x over the price found here.

Warning: This product worked for about a month and a half and then the fan on limit switch failed. Beware as these may be factory seconds and not reliable as ones from authorized dealers. Now at -13C (10F) I have to go and source another switch.

Works fine until I put the case cover back on, then it sometimes doesn’t turn the fan on. The old Honeywell controller was a larger physical package...more room for everything ... anyway, it works fine if I leave the cover off ...no problem because it is behind a steel panel on my 56 year old furnace!
