BIgelow Constant Comment Tea helped me to transition from coffee to black tea. While both coffee and black teas contain caffeine, the caffeine in tea acts differently in the body than it does in coffee. The reason behind this is that black teas have additional ingredients that calm one's nerves yet at the same time provide an energy lift through the caffeine. Coffee, on the other hand, does not contain these calming ingredients, but instead causes a jiggery feeling to the nervous system. Also, the energy lift obtained from coffee drops suddenly shortly after consuming, whereas the energy lift in tea lasts longer and then drops very slowly.Caffeinated teas also contain health benefits not found in coffee according to some doctors and nutritionists.However, making the transition from coffee to tea, based on these factors, was not easy for me. The reason for this was that I Ioved the taste of coffee and disliked the taste of black teas - that is until I tried BIgelow's Constant Comment. This was a tea that I actually liked the taste of and still enjoy its flavor and aroma and drink it often.Today, having transitioned from coffee to tea, I am a tea connoisseur of all black teas. But, further transitioning did not occur until I learned to select and brew black tea after the fashion of the British. HOW one brews their tea, therefore, is just as important as selecting a good quality tea. Following are some of the things that I learned from them:1. Start with a good quality tea. Choose organic teas whenever possible. Tea and coffee plants are among the most heavily sprayed crops. And, brewing such teas releases the poisons directly into your cup of tea - not good. Nevertheless, I still drink tea that is not organic from time to time; however, I do limit the amount that I drink.2. Choose a cup made of glass or ceramic. Metal cups and styrofoam cups can negatively effect the taste of tea or coffee.3. Choose a cup that does not have stains or scratches. Bacteria can breed in dirty or damaged cups. This is not only unhealthy but can affect the taste of tea.4. Black teas should be brewed in boiling water in order to bring out the full flavor of the tea.5. Never use tap water or distilled water. Chlorine from tap water will give tea a bad taste and distilled water lacks oxygen and will cause the tea to taste flat.6. Never use reboiled water. Reboiling removes too much oxygen from the water; only boil enough water for one serving per cup.7. Let the tea steep in the cup for a full 5 minutes. This will give the tea a rich, full bodied flavor and will release all of the nutrients of the black tea. How strong or weak you make your tea should not determined by how long you steep your tea; instead, this should be controlled by how much water you pour into your cup.8. Never brew your cup of tea for more than five minutes. Over brewing will cause your tea to become bitter.9. Dipping the tea bag several times before removing the tea bag helps release the full flavor of the tea. However, squeezing the tea bag releases additional tannins into the tea causing the tea to taste bitter.So, enjoy your cup of BIgelow Constant Comment tea brewed and served in the style of the British

I drink 3-4 mugs of tea a day, most of the time it is a black tea. This black Peak Energy tea is fantastic!I used to get a different black tea which was spiked with extra caffeine, but when the price of it spiked to $6/box, I looked for something different. So glad I found this! Tastes just as good as my previous tea, the caffeine is beautifully balanced with the L-Theanine (so no jitters, yet great focus), doesn't get overly bitter if I accidentally steep it too long, and costs far less than my previous "energy" tea. I've recommended this tea to a couple of my tea-loving friends as this one has become my go-to breakfast tea.

This is probably my favorite flavor which is why I have been drinking it for years. Each tea bag is sealed inside its own package so I expect this will keep the tea fresh if not used right away. I found 7 bags brews 1 galloon perfectly if you don't ice it down. I refrigerate the tea after brewing (and after letting it cool down for 3-4 hours) so it lasts much longer. Room temperature tea will turn bad after ~10 hours. No need for ice when the tea is already chilled. I found 10-12 bags are needed if you plan to serve with ice a since the melting ice will dilute the tea and weaken the taste.

I've loved Earl Grey ever since trying it decades ago when I used to watch Star Trek The Next Generation weekly and it was Captain Picard's favorite tea.You would be amazed at how many Earl Grey teas say they are yet lack that punch of the bergamot oil which lifts it past a standard black tea.Luckily Bigalow achieves this properly and provides a proper cuppa.Black tea at its heart so it gives a nice boost of energy.This is my go do everyday Earl Grey tea because it tastes good and is well priced.Picard Approved!

Combine with a little honey and extra creamy oat milk and this really hits the spot if you have a sore throat. Tastes great and really nice quality tea that combined with the honey really wakes you up smell and flavor... or maybe that's the black tea caffeine! It's a great flavor to relax with when you need a bit of caffeine to wake you up when you aren't feeling well, echinacea helps with immune as well! Great hot and just strong enough at one bag.

Very good taste but not enough coconut flavor.

Just the smell takes me back to the 70's with Constant Comment black tea. After a very long day at school or work this tea really hits the spot with its orange rind and sweet spice fragrances. Perfect for an afternoon tea or after dinner as well with or without cream.

I don't drink coffee so tea, whether hot or cold, is a daily experience for me! My hubby bought these hot cinnamon tea bags in bulk (6 boxes) after I enjoyed a cup of hot tea at a friend's house. The flavor is remarkable but not overpowering; the strength of flavor is spot on and because it's made by Bigelow, I know the quality is great as well.Perfect cup of tea in the winter. Now that summer has arrived, I simply add one flavored tea bag with 4 regular black/orange tea bags for awesome iced tea that even my son has taken to drinking and he isn't a tea lover at all!
