New product in the market place, the green laser is not as bright as the PLs3 Green original
Outstanding.

Love It.
I miss the old version but the green Laser is easy to see and real help hanging truss motors pipe and chain. I probably should have bought the piece that mounts to the bottom. You cant see the bottom laser well unless you raise it up off thr floor. Besides that I love it.I tried the Dewalt version. It was cheaper. But the on off switch broke the second I used it. Returned it and went with the company I have used for over 20 years.

Laser much dimmer than previous models
Tried using this for a month for rigging motor points. If you work in a dark ballroom with a 30' ceiling all the time then this may work for you. Otherwise, you'll have an extremely difficult time finding the tinier dot. It's much larger than older models. My older red dot PLS5 was brighter and weighed less than this yellow turd. Fluke has found a way to drive away customers.Look elsewhere for a better dot laser. Was able to return mine in time for a refund

Definite downgrade via Fluke’s Rework of the classic PLS
1/ this battery tray is an absolute travesty. The tabs bend easily to spill the AA’s & it is easily detached upon any drop or tip over.2/ all the reviews mentioning brightness are absolutely true. This is a dimmer dot & beam than the first Fluke iteration, and it’s significantly dimmer than the Pacific Laser original.3/ the inability to use the down-firing dot without a stand is a sheer disappointment.4/ size matters- this thing is an absurd case size.Overall I would love to say I enjoy this device; I certainly have spent enough $ on it.But the Fluke know how really fell short on this product- I’m getting ready to drop change on a Chinese import at less than 1/3 the cost because the basic useability of this model is so absurdly low.Buyer Beware.

New model has issues
We're a framing contractor that has been using PLS lasers for years however, this new model has us looking elsewhere. Size is a big factor when deciding what to put in your bag. This is substantially larger than previous models. The down firing laser isn't visible without the stand or unless you set it on something which either adds to the bulk or makes it really inconvenient. The light being dimmer is not a deal breaker but is disappointing compared to previous models. PLS (now Fluke) has a great warranty and usually durable products so when they fix the design we'll likely come back.
