excellent book
Deep insights, bringing an essential message but in a palatable manner. How inspiring, how honest, how clear. This is a must read, not just for people wanting to start a revolution, but for any true human being, because it is essentially about being truly human. Thank you, Srdja!

Brilliant
It's just a brilliant read. This can empower basically anyone who wants to make positive changes in his/her community but has been thinking their particular context is paralyzing them.

I sincerly hope this book won't be overlooked.
This book should be read by anyone needing to topple a dictator in their country, to someone wanting to save the village duck pond. It is a very serious book about how to manage a revolution or protest. Anyone wanting to campaign about anything should begin here. If activists read this book before marching about and waving placards they will save a lot of trouble for themselves and everyone else They are more likely to succeed in their aim too. From the point of view of a not yet activist, the book gave me insight into why some revolutions around the world have succeeded while other failed, which is a new way of looking at world politics. For a very serious book, the tone is as light as air. It is extremely easy to read and enjoyable for what might have been a very dull subject. It has also inspired me to help someone in an unpleasant situation at work because it gives a clear indication of how to prepare, plan and move towards a goal without being too earnest or worthy. I recommend the book whole heartedly to anyone who needs to campaign and I recommend it especially to those unfortunate enough to feel the oppression of dictatorship.

This is a great book, full of ideas for those planning non-party ...
This is a great book, full of ideas for those planning non-party campaigns and insight for those seeking to understand the logic by which campaigns often work. It is a study of non-violent revolutions by someone who was involved in planning one of them (the movement that brought down Milosevic). I think the only limitation of the book is that it is focused on only one part of a successful movement, the creative and fun bit, which is fine but probably worth bearing in mind if you want a "blueprint" which covers - say - campaign media management, fundraising and things like that.

A good read for politico's and non-politico's alike
This book was recommended to me be a friend and though a little dubious I found it a great read. It benefits both from offering surprisingly obvious but rarely followed advice (well not by the mainstream political classes anyway) and of being a historical text outlining the upheaval of a group of protesters vying for the return of democracy to their country.

Required reading for revolutionaries
I'd never have read this if i hadnt been reviewing for East Anglian libraries Brave New Reads - but this proved to be an informative and interesting book on peacable ways to make major points. If i ever want to start a revolution I'll revisit this book first
