You're better off saving your money and getting a McCallum or similar. The reeds are horrible. They both unraveled within a day. I'm not sure I won't return it and use the refund to help get something that isn't such crap.

They sound like every other practice chanter I've ever heard, whether high priced or low priced.

The chanter wood is very pretty and the scale pretty much in tune. The reeds are weak and probably should be replaced immediately--the only reason for four stars. Very good value though.

Although this instrument is great looking. its not really what a beginner needs to learn on. There is no indexing on the tone holes and its hard to find finger placement.

Well made and good quality for the price

The wood was cracked in several places, both reads were cracked, the holes are not drilled properly and you can not feel them at all because they are so small. Will only play two notes no matter what key you try. Dont buy this product

One of the cheapest ones I could find. The figure holes seemed a little small and awkwardly spaced for my large hands. Has the esthetic appeal of an expense one with out the price tag to show. The main complaint is the reeds that were provided with it. They did not seat straight and when vibrating would come out of place and hit the inside causing it not stay "in tune". For just practice or deciding if this is an instrument you want to take up this is a must. Just buy a couple of replacement reeds at the same time.

cant get it to work. reeds wont stay in place therefore unable to make sound. this was a Christmas present for my son. he was so disappointed.

Terrible quality. Sounds like a dying duck.
