Camp Chef 10" Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet Lid

I assumed several reviews saying this lid was small referred to the fact that my Lodge pan is 10 1/4 inches. I have a real ten inch pan (photo) and yes, this lid is slightly small. The outer rim fits just inside the pan.

I never had a lid for any of my cast iron pots. It is heavy. And handle a little low to base, difficult to use a pot holder, to grip handle. DON'T USE WITHOUT ONE! You'll burn your hand.I didn't even try that.But, it is a nice lid. Heavy, cleans easily.Can be used in larger pan as that bacon grill iron . And cut down grease splatter.Versatile. Can be left right on your cast iron pan/pot and put into oven for warming, reheating.Cost? I don't know how to determine costs of cast iron cooking items, I would guess it depends on company name. So you have to shop around, find a company you like.My first set was Martha Stewart( poor thing needed help getting back on her feet after her little jail stint) I like it. But didn't come with a lid.This can be used with that set.Nice thing is lid is basically flat and will sit over any same size or smaller iron pan. It doesn't have to fit perfect. So this 10" can fit on 10" , 8 or even 5" pan. There's over hang, but no big deal, it covers as should if you need a quick cover so you don't have to buy a lid for every single iron pot you own.Camp Chef makes a good item. Heavy.I don't know if your suppose to season lidsI give this 5 stars- which I don't give often

this lid is made for no more than a 9.5 inch pan. It sinks inside of my 10 inch cast iron pan. I measured it and the ideal size pan would be 9.25 inches. will not fit a 10 inch pan at all.

Decent quality but kind of a strange size. Either a bit too large or a bit too small for all my skillets. Seems to be more for a dutch oven than skillet.

Good product but don't care for the big ugly embossed advertising on the lid. Not as classy looking as the Wagner and other old brands. It is a fair fit, does the job and that is all that really matters. I wish they could publish the outside diameter at the lip that goes inside the pan.

Love my cast iron pot and pans I have a lot and there great for beach cooking lid keep out the sand when it is windy or the ashes in the mountains

I purchased this to go with my Lodge 10" frying pan. While not a perfect fit, it's so close that it's meaningless.A great lid that has improved my cooking set.

very happy with my purchase, It fits the pan I have even thought its a lodge brand skillet and lodge apparently doesn't make a lid in that size for their own pan. So this thing was a perfect solution.
