Single-use batteries are toxic to the environment and expensive to continuously replace. Our mission at Sunlabz is to offer a more effective, energy efficient, and affordable alternative to traditional batteries. Our NiMH cells can be used and recharged 1000 times over, and surpass alkaline batteries in energy density every time. The negative electrodes use a hydrogen absorbing alloy, giving NiMH batteries 2 to 3 times the capacity of an equivalently sized NiCD. Our NiMH cells have an energy density approaching that of a lithium cell.

Not dissapointed!
I was a bit leery about buying these AA batteries because at the time there were only five reviews, all 5 stars from non verified buyers. My charger is an Opus BT-C2000 smart charger so I knew I could test them and give a bad review if they didn't live up to the hype.Well I'm glad I took the chance and bought these. They tested really good. After several charge-discharge cycles all 8 batteries test to over 2600mAh with one actually reaching 2700mAh. The average is 2630mAh. They last a long time in my devices before needing recharging. If I need more AA size batteries I will be buying more from this company. You can't beat the price.I bought an 8 pack of SunLabz AAA 1000mAh rated batteries and they also lived up to spec so I bought another 8 pack and use them in all my flashlights and remotes.***June 2015 ***1 Year Update***After 1 year these AA NiMH batteries are still going strong. I run them in my Roku 3 remote with wireless headphones. I use the headphones everyday. A set of 2 AAs last about 3 or 4 days before they go flat. So all 8 batteries have been charged somewhere around 30+ times each over the last year. A retest showed the lowest output of the 8 was 2461mAh and the highest 2604mAh with an average of all 8 of 2514mAh. An average loss of only 116mAh after a year of constant use. I'm still rating them 5 STARS.The 16 1000mAh AAA are also going strong. They've been used in my remotes and LED Flashlights and last a looooooong time so they haven't been charged often. When I originally tested these they all output in the 990mAh range and now a year later their average is 925mAh. I'm still rating these 5 STARS also***7/10/15 Update*** DISAPPOINTEDLast month I bought a 4 pack of the 2800mAh AA batteries. These I'm disappointed in. They don't seem to be 2800mAh at all. I'm getting the same readings as I did with a new set of 2600mAh AAs. (see picture) The batteries themselves are 5 star but because they don't live up to being 2800mAh I can only give them 2 STARS. save some money and just buy the 2600mAh.***7/6/2016 2 year update ***All batteries are still charging and working just fine.

Buy these batteries - they do the job.
These batteries are fantastic so far.I use them in sonic care toothbrushes and they do the job. My old rechargeable batteries lasted only a few days, these last weeks. I had never heard of them but decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did. I highly recommend.

Without a doubt and by far SunLabz has the worst failure rate and when they fail
Count on about 15% of your batteries failing in the first year. I have bought several packages of SunLabz, Amazon Basics, EBL, Tenergy and eneloop rechargeables in AAA, AA, C and D. over the last few years. Without a doubt and by far SunLabz has the worst failure rate and when they fail, they won't even take any charge at all. Although Amazon doesn't manufacture their own and I don't know who does make them for that label, I have experienced the fewest failures using those batteries. This is based on owning well over over a hundred assorted batteries that are constantly being recharged using the same charger which is a SunLabz charger!Update 4/3/2017: Reducing to ONE STAR! Half of my 3 dozen SunLabz AAA batteries no longer take a full charge and some won't take a charge at all. Amazon Basics, eneloop and the others listed above are almost all still working great. They are all rotated thru the same cycles and use the same SunLabz charger. What a waste of money in the long run.

Buy these, and everyoone wins, even your checkbook
The bottom line is that rechargeable batteries HAVE become as powerful regular batteries, and although a single charge of a rechargeable battery is often not as long as the super high end, most expensive disposable batteries; rechargeable batteries RECHARGE!.I know, 10 years ago, memory loss was very significant, not so much now for Lithium. And usually, for example, if you several smoke detectors to change our every 6 months and damage the environment, now you recharge the old batteries and put in new rechargeables. And usually you can buy three quality rechargeable 9V for the same price as 2 high end disposables.I hate collecting bags of disposable batteries, waiting for the next hazardous waste pickup day, and I love the thought of going green. So in the end, I am not only recommending these batteries, I am begging you to consider to go green, do yourself a favor and everyone wins, even your checkbook!

High Failure Rate - Caveat Emptor
I'm afraid that I cannot, in all conscience, recommend this brand.I purchased these on March 26th, 2016. They seemed to work fine for awhile, and then a few just stopped working - after only 2 or 3 recharge cycles. I contacted Sunlabz, since the batteries were still under warranty, and they graciously shipped out another 10-pack of batteries, free of charge. Of those 10, three of them were dead on arrival. I've attached a picture of my charger: you can see two of the batteries aren't even registering. I moved the batteries from one charging slot to another to make sure that it was the batteries, not the charger. It's the batteries. A 30% failure rate out of the package, to me, is unacceptable. While I appreciate their great customer service, I don't buy batteries for the customer service experience. I buy batteries to power things reliably. These batteries don't do that. Sorry, Sunlabz, but you need some serious QA in your manufacturing process.
