Great replacements
Leave it to our government to screw up something as simple as a gas can. The nozzles are useless. These make the new gas cans you buy completely usable again. The come with everything you need to make a new style can old school again, including vents. These made me happy, because nothing sucks more than standing in a hurricane trying to pour gas into a generator at a rate a gallon an hour. Put these on and it is so much quicker!!!

Good stuff but may leak a little
At first i was amazed how better this is then stock but after some time it leaks a little no matter how tight the seal is . Its not a big deal to me because original one use to leak more . I would buy again

If you're looking for a leaky spout, this is the choice!
I've been using these for a couple of years. I have increasingly began to hate these. The first problem is the plastic lip that is supposed to seal against the tank is too small in diameter and can slide around. The rubber gasket that fits over the outside and is supposed to provide the seal will move and it will leak all over. I replaced it multiple of times, and you have to be so careful or it will shift. Cranking down the pressure only distorts it and it leaks even worse. I was able to briefly get it to seal by removing that and getting the plastic to stay directly over the opening and cranked it down. But, that was only a couple times. These just don't work.

Vent Hole Adapters Are Worth The Price, Alone
I bought these not because I hate the new safety spouts, but because I dropped one of my 5 gal. cans and broke the spout. I have never had a problem with the new mandated spouts. I bought this so I could have a spout, any spout. And, yes, it went on easily and seals well. However, I didn't know how much I missed having a vent hole in my gas cans until I installed the one that came with the spouts. I used a screw-type drill (even though the instructions suggest not doing that) and made the hole just slightly smaller than the insert. I put some silicone sealing adhesive around the hole adapter's flange, pushed it into the hole, and let it cure. A day later, I had a well-sealed gas can with a vent hole. No more air gulping as I pour and no more can collapsing as the fuel is poured. I wanted a spout, but ended up getting a much better gas can in the process.

Somewhat Flimsy
And what, exactly, does "Sheerness" mean when rating flexible gas can spouts? Yeah, NOTHING. Anyway this is a nice kit but they are somewhat flimsy. I measured my gas can openings, as suggested by the vendor, and figured these would fit. But when I received them one of the gaskets had a crease in it (where it didn't belong) that prevented the thing from sealing properly unless I REALLY torqued down on screw down piece that holds the spout on the gas can outlet. Even then it still leaked a small amount. So I've gone back to the original screw down piece from that came on the original gas can spout - haven't had a chance to use this yet so don't know if it's solved the leaking problem or not. One of my gas cans didn't have a vent but this kit does provide vents that you can install - installation is super easy and the vent works fine. Would I recommend these? Well, if I need any additional spouts I'll look at other brands and see what others have to say about them. On the other hand these do work and they are WAY better than the current gas can spouts that you get when you purchase a new gas can.

Back to the Past !
Simple and safe - Just like Fuel spouts used to be before idiots caused fires by not using old-style spouts in a safe manner ! Using common-sense this spout can be just as safe as before all the "Safty" spouts were required. Spouts that caused spills while using every time I would try to use ! Easy to use and No Spills ! It even includes a vent that allows easy flow of fluid out of the system. Primarily the vent latch caused me to give it a "3" on safety because the latch on the vent provided no definitive latching catch method. Plus to a lesser extent, the spout has the old-style storage method (Spout inverted in the filler spout attachment area). But again these two weaknesses are dependant on common-sense practices for safety !!! Note as with old style spouts I would not recommend using the cap on the end of the spout as a closure method of the system. It also could come loose while using the spout and fall into the fuel tank !

OK. I never rave, just awesome!
I had an old gas can a new one.The old one needed help bad so I replaced everything. Now it’s a pleasure to use!The new one was purchased in desperation. No vent and can would not seal with spout exposed. I hated it and it’s SLOW pour. Both issues solved! Now I can use it.I upgraded both cans with 2 feet of 3/4 inch clear tubing. Now I can see what I pour without kneeling at all or doing the 90 degree bend over. And I can leave the hose on if I want and the cans are still sealed!A must have if you deal with old or new gas cans. I’m probably going to buy another new can and this kit again now that the love hate gas cans are over!

Hard to bend
These are rather hard to bend making it difficult to use, especially when the jerry can is full.

Seals well no vent in fill tube
Seals well no vent in filler tubes so if u have a gas can newer then 2000 with no vent it won't work
