Sunbeam 1500 Watt Wallmount Hairdryer #1632-20

Just the product I needed.

I just threw away my second Sunbeam wallmount hairdryer. The first one lasted 2 years. The second one, 2 months. Buy it if you enjoy flareups and sparks...and buying lots of hairdryers.

I have 2 wall mount that are not worth a Dam I have even called Sunbeam.

This dryer came mounted in our motorhome. After probably 30 uses the fan shattered. Out of warrenty so they won't replace. Wouldn't buy again.

When my last Sunbeam wall mount hair dryer died recently, I thought i'd just replace it with an idential unit. Alas, this handy item has been redesigned. It's still a convenient wall mount hair dryer, but as the company strove to make it more jazzy looking, they introduced a nuisance. The old unit fit my hand comfortably. The new design has such a thick handle that only my 6'2" husband would find it comfortable to hold. Similarly, Sunbeam lengthened the nozzle. I see no benefit to this. It just makes it stick out farther from the wall. The old unit was small, light and easy to handle. The new unit is bigger, heavier and awkward to handle. The one good thing is that the new unit is quieter than the old.

I purchased this hairdryer after numerous stays in hotels which were equipped with various similar units. This was the one my husband and I liked the best, for its light weight, quiet operation, and overall effectiveness. It is a great addition to our bathroom at home.

This hairdryer was advertised as being three speed and three heat settings. It was only 2 speed and 2 heat settings. I paid more for this hairdryer because of these features then I would have had to at other sellers sites. This disapointed me.

The only reason I didn't rate the hairdryer with 5 stars is because you can't turn it on and of on the handle.
