Cardone 32-301 Remanufactured Smog Pump

read the reviews and was skeptical of what kind of part I was going to get. so glad I got this for my 1995 f150 5.0. works perfect going on about 1800 miles now. no squeaks or sounds or any kind. when I first put it on it will squeal a little bit but after about 20min of highway driving it went away and never came back. awesome part for great price

The 1st time i drove with it the pulley fell off the shaft the 3 bolts were still tight on the hub. I was already past the return date, because i had rebuilt my eng. So i welded back on and now it wobbles. But the squeal is awful!!! Can barely hear the eng running over the squeal. Yah not dealing with that, gonna get rid of it and get a dummy pulley.

Bought this for a Ford Bronco. Working great. It does make a squilling notice. Mine stopped after about 900 miles. Would have given it a 5 star, but it took a lot longer for the noise to stop.

This smog pump solved my side of the road breakdown issue considering mine was 29 years old, and nearly obsolete for an identical fitment through the dealer....although my 1988 Ford van is exempt from any state mandated smog control, the van van wouldn't run properly without replacing this { mine froze up }...took me about 1 hour to change, on a van !

This review is a bit different than the others on this product. Unlike many others who have had noise issues when they installed their pump, mine was quiet as could be. However, that didn't stop the pulley from wobbling on the shaft like a kid taking his first bicycle ride down the street without training wheels! Yep, it was bad! And I knew I'd do nothing but chew up fan belts if I left it as is. Fortunately, Amazon was the saving grace. I called them and explained the situation and they shipped another pump out to me immediately, without having to ship my "wobbler" back first. When it arrived, I changed it for the second time and this one ran true. And yes, it does make noise, most noticeably at start up, but then quieting down within a minute or two. I checked somewhat extensively, and Cardone is the only game in town when it comes to this pump, no matter where you purchase it. So it becomes nothing more than a point of price, and Amazon has the best price, hands down. The moral to the story is, if you need this pump, you're stuck with Cardone and whatever hazards may come your way. But on the upside, Amazon was great and gave the experience a little less of a sting than it normally would have had (which is why I was generous with 3 stars). Cardone cost me time, money and aggravation. Amazon gave me a hassle-free experience. Cardone, no! Amazon, yes!

Installed this on a 1994 ford bronco. This is a truck that barely gets driven, it went in easy and was quiet on start up. Then less than 1000 miles later the thing locks up solid in a home depot parking lot cause me to have the change this piece of crap in a snow storm. And because I barely drive the truck it is out of the return policy. Do yourself a favor and avoid this at all costs.
