My son has had a blast with this toy and LOVED getting it for Christmas. He absolutely loves the item and was worth it!

Great buy
I am very suprised at how well this Hot Wheels works. I have learned over the years (having a 9 and 6 year old boys)that they really like the idea of the Hot Wheels sets but then get bored right away because it never works the way the commercial shows! Wow, this set works. I also bought extra cars for a total of 4 cars and they all change color perfectly. Very cold water works best but warm works fine to change color back (water does not need to be hot). To cut down on water mess, this is also a fun bath toy, although I don't recommend putting the dryer part in bath (there is a fair amount of metal).

Hot Wheels Color Shifter Custom Color Shop
Relatively easy to put together. Not terribly durable for a rugged 4-year old. All the fun seems to be in the changing of the car colors.

Messy but great fun
We bought this 3 years ago for my son for Christmas. He still plays with it in the summer months while outside. The color shifter cars are still used on a daily basis in the bathtub by my daughter (age 2 1/2). What a fun toy!

Very Bad Toy-too expensive!
I recently bought the Hot Wheels Color Shifters Custom Color Shop for my grandson and it is one of the worst toys I've ever seen. I can't even describe how much "NO FUN" it is. I can't even believe the price I paid for it; almost 30.00! Hopefully I can get a full refund.I've always loved Amazon and buy lots of stuff from here with no complaints. I hate to start now!

VERY COOL!
Great fun for my 5 year old grandson. He plays with this all the time, loving the color changing cars. It involves hot and ice cold water, which is easily spilled, should be set up on an easily cleanable surface. All in all, a great toy for a child who loves Hot Wheels.

Doesn't do what its supposed to, but still a little fun
The waterfall that's supposed to change the color never makes it on time. SO that never works. However, my son still thinks the toy is fun.

My son has spent hours playing with this
I bought this last year for my son, he is 7 now, and he still plays with it.He will play with it for an hour or more. When he does I set a towel down on the floor. I give him a water bottle of warm tap water and a bottle of refrigerated water. He does not mind refilling it a bunch of times. The car may not do what the commercial shows every time but I think he likes the challenge. It has held together with no broken pieces. I would suggest buying more color changing cars. He also has a couple other of the color changing sets he uses at the same time. It does make a mess, but that is okay, it is just water. I think I have gotten my money's worth.
