I just received my PotHeadz Steam Diverter and I have already given it a workout. First of all I was surprised by the weight of it. It is very solid, it feels substantial, like it will last for a long time. I first tried it on a large pot of Black Beans. I usually allow them to release naturally, because they always make such a mess and splatter everywhere whenever I tried to quick release them. But that also means my beans come out mushy. The Diverter worked like a champ, the steam was shot out the side instead of up at my cabinets and the splatter was minimized to just a few drops out of the birds mouth. Clean up was easy, I just rinsed it under my faucet. The best part was my bean were still firm!I have used it several times since and it is so easy to use. It is easy to put on, take off and clean. What more could you want! When I’m not using it, I leave it on my counter, so it is always within reach.

I was amazed by this diverted! It is very well made and very sturdy and adorable! I did not expect this quality. I am very happy with this steam diverter and everyone comments on how cute it is! Functional, easy to clean, and great looking! What else could I have asked for?? Oh, and it keeps the steam off my cabinets, which was why I bought it in the first place.

The fact that this is compatible with my different-sized Instant Pots is a plus. It is really cute. The one thing that surprised me is that it is a bit bulky and larger than I expected. Works great, though!

I loved this concept, the birds are so cute. A few problems I ran into, it does not fit my CrockPot brand electric pressure cooker’s steam valve. I didn’t know there was such a big difference in the styles. So sadly I have to send it back. Secondly, this is MUCH larger than I had anticipated.

This is a fun gadget. It is huge, a bit clunky, but IT DOES WORK to redirect the steam away from my cupboards. Made from a sturdy rubber that fits over the top of the steam valve. Does not fit tightly, but stays on without a problem when turning the valve to release the steam. I run it under water to clean it, air dry. I'm really glad I received this (as a gift). I find it to be very helpful/useful.

I've used this PotHeadz Steam Diverter several times, now, and am happy with the steam diverting away from my cabinets when I Quick Release (QR) my Duo 7-in-1 6 qt Instant Pot (IP) . I have no counter space to place my IP that doesn't have a cabinet above it and, for safety sake, I will not put the IP on the stove. This device is for 2 different Pots (the base separates from the 'birds') and as I have a 6 qt Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1, I use the 'birds' by putting the device on the steam release handle after the food has cooked and I want to begin a QR. It's not intended to be put on the steam release handle as the food cooks but rather to place onto the steam release handle when ready to QR. A good amount of steam may exit the birds mouth so do not stand directly in front of the 'birds'. Using the 'birds,' I have no worry about burning my hand or fingers or having to wrap a towel or hot pad around the steam release handle when QR. The PotHeadz 'birds' is large enough to fit in my hand well and easy to place onto the steam release handle. An added benefit is that the 'birds' quiet the sound of a QR. I'm very pleased with this well made device.

This diverter is pretty cool, much bigger than I imagined but not a bad thing. It does the job, I just had an issue using it for the 1st time because I forgot you aren’t supposed to leave it on while the machine builds pressure. You only put it on when it’s time to quick release. It works perfectly with my ninja foodi. My neighbors thought it was the coolest thing ever when we had people over for dinner! Definitely worth getting and your dinner guests will love it.

Doesn't fit securely over instant pot steam vent. my hope was to be able to divert the steam in a direction that would allow me to see the front (timer / selection panel) and avoid steaming the bottom of my cabinets. the bird's mouth (where the steam comes out) does not "line up" with the steam vent (vented / not vented), so you really can't tell if the steam vent is closed while the diverter is on the steam vent. in addition, when the vent is opened, the steam is directed to the front (timer / selection panel) of the instant pot - which would force the steam right into your face if you wanted to see the timer / selection panel when activating the steam release. just a poor design, flimsy and does not truly divert the steam to an area more desirable than when not using it.

I love the colour, the quality is good and fits my Ninja Foodi.
