Stachys Officinalis. Betony a native medicinal plant which has spikes of red-purple flowers. Height 60cm spread 25cm. It is used to treat headaches, coughts and colds, it also is used on wounds and as a yellow dye. Also known as lousewort or bishopswort. NB. As with all herbs we recommend you get correct advice before using. Approx seeds 300 Sow from spring onwards in situ, lightly covering the seeds with soil. It will grow in most soils in both woodlands and grasslands
