Fantastic organizational system for your overhead cabinets!
This pull down spice rack is something I've always wanted, but didn't know existed. I knew I wanted some kind of pull down mechanism for reaching the stuff in my cupboards, as I am only 5'2" - which makes accessing my condiments on the fly while I'm cooking a bit annoying. I'd have to pull everything out before starting. Now its easy to access things quickly and to spot what I want straight away.It was a bit fiddly to install, and you do have to work out for yourself exactly how far back on the shelf to attach the bracket. Don't trust the measurement suggested on the instructions - that wouldn't have worked for me. I had to line it up so that the edge of the rack was very close to the edge of the shelf, otherwise when I pulled it down, the rack would hit the shelf on the way down. Now that its done though, its hassle free and a joy to use. You do need to support the weight of it as you pull it down - especially if you have heavily loaded it up, like I did. There is no spring-loaded tension or hydraulic function to support the weight of it, so use it with care.I have now bought more of these and I am actually looking for other places to install them, simply because they're so fun to use, and I love seeing everything so neatly organised. I have one in the cabinet over my kettle, to store all my coffees, teas, chocolate sachets and accessories. I also plan to use one for all my vitamin supplements. Here I have posted videos of my Rubbermaid pull down spice rack, installed and in use.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VxSwHWRcnQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItJXbOhbDTM

Sometimes it's the simple pleasures
I bought 2 Rubbermaid Pull Down Spice Rack for a second shelf in my spice cabinet and now I'm coming back for 2 more.I didn't have a problem with clearing my hinges, my upper cabinets were deep enough, and I don't think they're flimsy, as previous reviewers remarked, but it's good to measure first and try them out in different positions before you attach them permanently. I had a handyman install them and he didn't seem to have a problem.Suggestion: Make sure you account for the spices you'll put on the top rack so they fit when the shelf is back in place. I had my handyman drill more holes for shelf supports so I moved my top shelf up with just enough room for my baking spices, which I don't use that often anyway. One thing I especially like is they hold all sizes of spices as well as balsamic vinegar and other oil bottles on any of the shelves. It may seem strange to get excited about spice racks, but it really is nice to open up your cabinet and see everything well organized. Sometimes it's the simple pleasures that count.*******DECEMBER 2013: I've had my racks for a year and a half now and I still love them. I don't pull them down that much, mostly because I'm tall and can reach them--but I'm not the only one who cooks at my house, and they're definitely useful for shorter cooks.I just ordered another one of these for my pill cabinet, which is above my microwave. Things are always just out of reach for me and because I'm usually too busy (or lazy!) to get a stepstool, I end up shoving stuff back in there willynilly so it's a mess. This rack will end that. It will have enough space for most of my stuff, and any overflow will go into a separate little container, maybe for the daily vitamins I need to access more often. These are a great help organizationally and am very happy I found them.

Works well, but if the stars align just right (wrong?) you'll drill extra holes in your shelf.
Good product, works well, but could use some more comprehensive measurements or a simple paper template. The only measurement you get is that the front edge of the bracket should be 5" from the front edge of the shelf. I purchased two, and during my installation the rack nearest the side of the cabinet was offset enough to clear the opening, but one of the small protruding wire ends unluckily aligned with a hinge, which also protruded slightly into the opening. I couldn't move the shelf further up, and didn't want to move it down. There was enough give in the setup to force it over and past the hinge, but I opted to drill new holes and move it. During that process, while trying to avoid redrilling all eight holes, I learned that the brackets can be mounted with the screws inward instead of outward and it'll function just fine. I think it looks a little better too. If I had it to do over again I'd just center them, rather than try to get them as far to one side as possible. With the brackets inward each rack is 13 5/8" wide (from protruding wire nub to protruding wire nub). Height from the shelf to the top of my cabinet is 10 5/8", and medium/standard spice bottles just barely fit on the top level of the rack. Our old storage solution for spices was a three tiered shelf that kind of floated in the middle of the cabinet. It didn't offer enough rise to be able to see what was on each level, but it made things too high to make storing anything behind it accessable. Inevitability our most frequently used spices just got piled in front of it, when space in front ran out things ended up on another shelf, and some spices were purchased multiple times because we didn't know we had them. This rack definitely offers enough rise to see the different spices in the cabinet, and when the racks are pulled down your ability to pull things out from behind them is limited only by the length of your arms. You also don't have to worry about knocking spice bottles over when you pull something out from the back since they're all pretty secure in the rack. Obviously nothing can be shoved into the cabinet in front because the racks are screwed in place. I put the three-tiered shelf behind the wire racks, and I'm pretty happy with the result.
