For those who have no clue what this candy is...
I bought this with the only knowledge that this was some kind of taffy candy. (I had to go to a mostly Japanese website to even figure this out.)So for those who want to know what the hell this candy is: I got four different flavors of taffy in my bag-Green Grape, Purple Grape, Cola, and Soda. Both Grape flavors are filled with these tiny gummies in the center of the taffy while the Soda and Cola have both the gummies and these little flaky carbonation chunk-things. This candy is super interesting and definitely like nothing I've ever seen here in America and each has a very distinct and unique flavor.I will say one thing for sure, after trying all sorts of Japanese candy, they definitely know how to get their flavors right. If you want actual flavors and not something that tastes like chemicals or something sickeningly sweet-which is most American candy-try this candy. Keep in mind that shipping can take up to a month, but it's totally worth it in my opinion and I will be buying more of this in the future.

Firm But Fair
If you never had any, these are a taffy candy wrapped around micro-beads of a gum candy. The flavors are a home run for sure. The taffy itself has a very firm bite (maybe even firmer than Laffy Taffy) . Personally I would have preferred it have a little more give. Even when you got it to point where it became semi-chewable it maintained an extremely gummy texture, which made me wonder if it was not actually gum for a second. I would recommend these for their uniqueness. For $5, you're not going to break your bank. Expect a month plus for delivery by mail.

Best taffy square candies
First and foremost, what you get is not what is advertised. Ther red grape and ramune soda flavor are still there, but the white grape is replace with lemon-lime soda, and the cola is replaced with orange.Ramune - By far my favorite flavor, with a berry-creme flavored taffy. All of them has a nice chewy texture with a mix between Mamba and Laffy Taffy. There are fizzy pellets in this flavor that mimic carbonation, and tastes good too.Lemon-lime - Has a flavor much like the name, also having pellets to mimic carbonation.Orange - One thing I have learned with Japanese candies is that their flavors are spot on. This one tastes exactly like orange, and has little gummy pellets that make them more fun.Grape - Same as the orange, only with a red grape flavor. The only con is that because these come from Japan, it takes 6-8 weeks to get to the States.

These candies are very good! Highly recommend them
These candies are very good! Highly recommend them. They have 4 different flavors & each one is amazing. The best way I can describe them is taffy outside, with wrapped tiny balls of delicious flavors inside (red grape, green grape, ramune & soda)

Very very slow shipping.
Finally receiving these things left me giving an exasperated sigh of relief. I had ordered these things around 2 months ago back in March, and I had bought it along with 2 other products from different sellers all at once, but this bag of candy was a bit of a different story. I usually don't write reviews for my purchases, but I believe a bit of criticism should be included for this variety.Firstly, upon seeing the bag, I thought that it would be a good bargain to get this selection. Japanese sweets and confectioneries are my guilty pleasure when I'm in the mood for getting some to treat myself, so as I've mentioned before, I bought a selection of 2 of one kind of candy and one of another along with this. I purchased them all from my cart at the same time, and they all came from different sellers. Without any sort of expedited shipping, I got those candies at around a week or two after ordering and one day after another in early April, but this? I place this order on March 31st, and I just got them today in May. Now, I'm no expert with mailing internationally, but I had purchased other things from Japan (and even farther away, China.) and I had received products a lot quicker than this. Never have it taken me 2 months to get a bag of candy like this. I can give the seller props for predicting the exact delivery date, which said it would be May 18th, so that's at least something that makes me content out of all this. At the same time, though, the seller did give permission to track the package and recorded how long it would take, but they didn't label where the package had stopped and where it is while sending, like other products I have bought from Amazon did, so this inconvenience had me doubting if my package was actually lost in transit someplace, I was so close to asking the seller my clause if it didn't show up today after waiting 2 months.Next on the agenda, I've noticed a lot of buyers have been complaining about their mix-up of flavours or bags compared to the image displayed. It labels specifically on the page that it would be a bag like this that would have Ramune (Japanese lemonade), Muscat (white grape), Grape, and Cola flavours. Most of the sellers here report they got a bag similar to this, but with a different assortment of flavours. I am one of them. Luckily, as I had gotten the right "brand" of this candy, I don't entirely have all promised 4 flavours. My bag looks the same except instead of the Muscat and Cola flavors, I've been given a lemon-lime soda flavour and orange flavour. The sad thing is is I was looking forward to trying those two flavours. Due to the inconsistency of the flavours, I would be wary that even for being a variety pack, you might not get exactly what you see on the screen. It'll be the same type of candy, but the bags may come with different flavors than labeled. Now then, off to the candy itself. The bag is surprisingly not that air-packed, and mostly contains what you're looking for. The bag roughly contains around 15 to 20 individually wrapped candies inside in neatly divided flavours. My bag in particular had a lot of the Ramune in it, but if it's factory packed, I'll let it slide. The candy itself has like a Starburst-like texture to it, a solid, taffy-like candy lined with two stripes of their corresponding colours. Each candy has a mellow amount of flavour that is kind of a little mediocre for candy, though it does have more of a kick than your average Starburst, but it also has a juice inside if you chewed to it that just flushes into your mouth. I for one was really surprised by how close the Ramune flavour was for tasting like the real soda itself. Now then, to sum it up, this is a good candy to share with your pals, as they're folded up taffy blocks with little air bubbles and tangy juice that is like a strong surprise to your taste buds. They themselves are pretty nice to have, though compared to what some American sweets can offer it really isn't that sublime if you just compared some other candy that's like it with your eyes closed. Overall they're good Japanese snacks when you're craving for something soft and chewy, but what sets my judgment bar low is the inconsistency of the supplier's product. If I could recommend something, if to all ends they really couldn't give what exactly is shown, to remove the description promising the 4 flavours on the image. That's my main complaint besides how the shipping went, because this was the first time I experienced something from the eastern countries taking SO FREAKING LONG compared to even bigger parcels I've gotten for them. Like, really, does 2 months for one bag of candy seem reasonable? If you really want this type of stuff, buyer beware if you're looking for quick shipping, but besides that it's a good variety that's given to you, and a stimulating, nice-tasting chew overall! I would recommend this to nibble on if you can't get this type of candy from other sellers, but whatever you think seems best, go nuts!
