Grizzly Industrial H7971-3" Digital Caliper does not have fractions
I purchased this thinking it was like my other digital calipers which have mm/in in decimal/in fractions. This caliper lacks fractions.

A good small caliper
I've looked all over for a small caliper for measurements in cramped areas. This fits the bill perfectly, it's about 4-5 in overall length, measures with good accuracy and fits really well in your hand. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't have an auto-off if it's left on, you just have to be careful to turn it off every time. Stock up on batteries!

Need better battery
I use this for my R/C planes and helicopters. It looks and feels like a quality caliper and works the same. Both batteries were almost dead on arrival. Replace them with a quality battery and they will last much longer. I would purchase again even with the sorry battery.

By far the best Bang for you buck.
Most cheap Calipers are a disappointment but not his one!- This one is solid! Well made with precise stainless steel, and its very accurate too.- The Zero function is handy to take relative measurements.- It comes in a nice hard case that is sure to protect it and allows for safely storage.- Most electronics these days won't include the batteries. Not only they include the battery but it also comes with a bonus spare.I got it on sale for fifteen bucks and it by far exceeded my expectations.
