I'm sorry for giving a 1 star review to a pretty good glue gun but I paid more than I would have because the product description outlined the fact that it had a removable cord which it definitely doesn't have. With the work I do I really need a removable cord. I would have returned it but I was in a bind for one and had to use it. I'm not very happy about being lied to but I guess I'll live with it. I hope this review helps someone else.

Where has this beauty been all my crafting days??There are just so many pros to this little bad boy I'll try and not miss any!1. I just can't get over the cordless feature! yes of course it has to be plugged in to heat up, but once its finished the possibilities are endless! I can no get in those hard to reach spaces without having to wrap the cord all around or fight with it to keep it out of the way! Not to mention how much easier it makes getting big projects done! I no longer have to set down the hot glue gun and rearrange whichever project i'm working on just make sure the gun will reach where I need it to!2.This puppy heats up with the quickness! I'm never left waiting too long for this gun to heat up, which means more projects actually see their finishing day! hooray for that! haha3. the two temp option is also another big game changer for apparent reasons. I can now finally hot glue just about anything my little heart desires without having to worry about it melting!4. I truly enjoy the size of this gun. Its not so big that when I have to insert a new glue stick that I find myself struggling to keep it together or have a hard time storing or traveling with it. And its not too small to the point of not being able to handle the size of glue stick I want or fall into the abyss of my craft closet and never be found again!all in all this bad boy does just what I want it to and more!

I just tested the gun for the first time after watching some YouTube videos.A lot of pressure is required to separate the stand's legs far enough to fit into the holes on either side of the gun, but it can be done.Because I'll be using this gun on foam model airplanes, I set the temperature to low. The multi-temperature glue sticks I'm using are four inches long. I placed one all the way into the gun, plugged the gun in, and waited 10 minutes, as instructed (for low temp). When I pressed the trigger, nothing happened. Then, I remembered a video where the user inserted a second glue stick behind the first one. So, I did that. Then the glue gun worked. The reason seems to be that because the first stick was all the way in, there was nothing for the trigger mechanism to grab onto to provide pressure. The second glue stick allowed the trigger to work the way it should. As expected, when applied the glue cooled quickly and provided a solid bond between two pieces of foam.I especially like the very narrow bead that the gun makes; with foam model planes, weight is critical, and the less glue used the better.So far, so good. If I run into any problems or learn anything new, I'll update this review.

I had been very happy using my AdTech glue gun previously. But after many years of use, it was time to buy another one. I figured I couldn't lose by getting another one just like it. It wasn't like it at all! I should have read the description much more carefully and not assumed anything. The new one did not have a detachable cord as my old one. Also, and most importantly, the new one did NOT have an "on/off" switch with a light. I have left my new one on several times. I always saw the light when the old one was on so I rarely left it on. I still get the same good quality in using the glue gun in my crafts, but those 2 extras I mentioned are sorely missed! That's probably why next time I buy a glue gun it will be from a different company.

This glue gun is horrible! I only gave it one star because zero isn't an option. I just got it out for the first time to work on Christmas projects and it claims the cord is detachable. It is not and apparently my window to return it just ended 2 days ago. I had one similiar to this in the past and it was detachable. The one they sent me is not. Also, the glue sticks won't "feed through" when you squeeze the trigger. Therefore, I'm trying to manually push the glue stick in and ended up having a glob of glue finally come out and landed on my finger. Nice burn because the product is HORRIBLE and dangerous to use. I have used glue guns for decades and never had one of this poor quality nor do they send you the product they advertise. Steer clear! This is not the glue gun to buy. Look at the picture...tell me how this is detachable??

I’m so disappointed in myself for opening and trying this a month and a half after purchasing it. My older mini glue gun was annoying me with how short it’s cord was while Christmas crafting, so I ordered this one and stashed it for future projects. Lo and behold here I am, waiting 10 minutes for this thing to warm up on HIGH and it’s still not ready. I thought my outlet was busted at first.And I bought this one SPEFICIALLY because it’s listed as having a detachable cord. Total BS. The cord is only 5ft long, so I’m tethered to my kitchen counter to craft or have to drag out an extension cord - which was the problem I had that this was purchased to replace! Might as well go back to my crappy little mini gun. It works better than this thing, too.Going to try to return, not sure if it’s too late. I sure as hell hope not.

This is exactly what I was looking for in a hot glue gun. I make a lot of hair bows and needed a hot glue gun with a fine tip and this works great for details. I find that I need to use the hotter setting though, the lower heat setting didn't seem to get hot enough for me. Also, I like that it takes the longer size glue sticks. My other hot glue gun only took the short ones and it seemed like I was replacing them too often during projects. All in all, this hot glue gun was definitely an upgrade from my old one! It's very easy to use. The only thing I wish it had was a longer cord as I feel like I need to use an extension cord to reach my outlets. I didn't find the location of the cord to be a nuisance like some of the other reviewers mentioned, I guess that more just personal preference.
