Sea-Dog 324310-1 Windshield Brace Kit

Nice product at a good price delivered quickly. This is called a Brace Kit - being called a kit one would assume it would come with all needed parts to be installed - nope. Just be aware you will receive this "Kit" without the 2 needed screws to attach the brace mounting feet to the rod on each end. I didn't expect it to come with the other 4 mounting screws that attach the feet to your boat/windshield but did expect the foot screws for the rod attachment. Lesson learned - it didn't say it included them and I have plenty of screws at home. If I had taken the sealed bag to my boat without prior inspection to install I would not have been a happy camper without the screws.

Fits perfectly

This met my needs. It does not come with the screws so make sure you save what you had on your old parts or get the proper screws before your install.It was a relatively easy install but you will need a hacksaw to cut the tube to length.The plastic "plugs" that go into the aluminum tube were a little loose on one end of the tube. If I had it to do again, I'd have crimped the ends of the tube slightly to increase the plug's "purchase" on the tube or used a little superglue.Be sure to dry fit everything everything before you crimp and measure twice before cutting the tube!

It works but at about 1/2 the diameter of the original I worry about longevity and ruability, especially under stress while running fast or in heavy seas.

Perfect replacement for my old boat, it held up and worked great all summer. That problem is solved....I ordered a spare just to keep on the boat....

Not complete. You’ll need to find screws to attach the mounts together then you’ll need to find more screws to attach the mounts to the rod after you cut it to length. The pieces were different so I had a lot of fabricating to do. After 2 hours of fabrication and looking for the right screws and drilling holes it did end up looking good. I just wouldn’t do it again

Replaced the windshield struts on my 19' Four Winns bowrider. These look better than the originals and are easily cut to the correct size with a common hacksaw.
