Hurley Men's Phantom P30 One and Only Boardshort

I normally wear size 32 - 33 for pants, and I ordered size 33 of these shorts. When they arrived they fit well, however, I was not able to tighten the waist nearly enough, so they were way too loose. I returned them and immediately looked for the smaller size. They didn't have size 32 available but they did have 31 available. I had no choice but to order the 31's since i was leaving on vacation soon and needed a pair. They arrived in time and the waist area was definitely able to be tightened up enough for me. The shorts themselves might be a hair on the small/slim side since I normally don't wear that size, but they still look fine. As for the color, anthracite gray was not my first choice, but it actually is really nice, and I'm glad I went with it. The only down side of these shorts is that there are no pockets in the front sides like normal shorts, but there is a zipper pocket on the lower right side. Overall, good shorts.

Best board shorts I have ever had. I wore these on my vacation to the Caymans and they are great. They dry super fast, usually within 10-15 min. The material is light and stretchy. They fit well right below the waste but not too low. Unlike many other board shorts, these don't stick to the groin area as much when you get out of the water. That was a common issue with the other board shorts that I have. They have a nice pull string with rubber grips on them to prevent them from easily coming untied. Nice front flap, non Velcro, smooth inseams, great zipper pocket. I will defiantly be buying more of these in the future.

The shorts are great but they haven't figured out how to consistently manufacture sizes. I bought four pair of these shorts all size 31 and everyone of them fits differently from not closing all the way in the front to being so big they slip off when closed as tightly as possible. How can they be so consistently WRONG? if you buy them, odds are they won't fit correctly.

these were decent... and fit pretty well, however, i'd bought other Hurley Swim shorts and both pair i had bought in the past both had a zipper and pockets... these have neither... so, ummmm... using the bathroom is a bit of a trick... there is a fabric that connects both sides of the shorts where the zipper would go, so you actually have to untie and pull down the front of the shorts to use the restroom. ... I would better prefer a zipper... and pockets would have been Great.

Let me start by saying that overall I love Hurley Phantom board shorts. I own two pair prior to these and they are without a doubt my favorite swim suits ever. This pair however arrived and the leg of the shorts were sewn into the pocket stitching creating a almost pleat on one leg. It's a big enough error that I couldn't put this pair of shorts on if I wanted to. I'm sending them back. What bothers me is how such an obvious flaw could have gotten by quality control at a factory and then been packaged and shipped to a customer. To me it was gross negligence in the manufacturing and quality control process. It's a shame cause it's made me question paying so much for suits when I can get something very similar from the mass retail chains like "bulls eye" or "a few cents". As long as the suits are 8% spandex and don't have Velcro in the fly.... Those two things are what make these suits so nice.

I like the zipper pocket (useful not to lose stuff), but these are more of a "slim fit" trunk, which is fine, but I didn't like how the hurley logo fell apart after just a few washes and leaving in the sun. I've had other Hurley trunks in the past that were great (but no zipper), but this one has a zipper so I bought it. The other Hurley's fit better but didn't have a zipper. I wish those old Hurley shorts had a zipper or these ones were better quality.

Overall, these are really great shorts. I haven't worn them for long so I can't speak to the durability, but the fit seems to be accurate in the waist and the length is right above my knee. I'm 6'3 and prefer suits that are 22" long, but these seem to fit the bill nicely as the suit has some give when wet. I do wish there was a back pocket in addition to the side one. Anything too heavy in the side pocket will definitely weigh down the shorts.

These are nice board shorts that I wear for surfing. I have a 30 inch waist and the fit a little large but are very comfortable and holding up well. I like the zipper pocket and wish they had at least one more. I would purchase again

Fitment is a little off in comparison to other Hurley shorts i own. Quality seems a little poor from what i'm used to seeing from Hurley. I ended up leaving them home on my last trip to the Carribean/.

Fits a bit smaller than expected, was what I was looking for though

Nice light shorts.....great for swim wear. Also wore in yoga and so far very durable
