Black HD Steel Shelf Bracket, 12" High

Remodeled my home office and wanted free-floating desktops that were wall mounted. Worked AWESOME. I did a U-shape using several of these and bracketed the 3 together in the corners in addition to using the wall brackets and 3 inch lag screws, but it worked quite well, very sturdy and I'm very pleased.

Sturdy and should do the job but they are either used or poorly painted. All seven have chipped paint. If I was putting them somewhere other than in the unfinished the basement they would be returned. Hole size is inconsistent as well. Of the seven brackets I have put up three have differnt size holes requireing different screws. Too much of a hassel to return. Would not buy again.

I had to return them. I ordered two and they were thrown in a box to bounce around through shipping. The paint was chipped and a chunk of metal was lost on one of them. If I was putting them in the garage or basement, it could have worked. I could have repainted them, but it was just to much work for the moment.They are sturdy and could hold a microwave or any other heavy items. These were the only black 12" brackets I could find, so I'm sad they didn't work out.

I used two of these brackets to mount a very heavy uninterruptible power system (UPS) and server in an unfinished portion of my basement, screwing the brackets directly into the exposed studs using 5/16" lag bolts as recommended.My only problem was that the diagonal support is too close to the middle mounting hole. I began using a socket wrench to screw in the bolts but when I was within about an inch from bracket I had to stop because there wasn't room for the socket (around the bolt head). At that point, the bolt head was too close to the support. I had to finish tightening the bolt with a monkey wrench and it took a long time because I could only do about a ¼ revolution at a time.The brackets are extremely sturdy and I'm very happy with them. But, the installation was unnecessarily difficult.Move that middle hole away from the support and I'd give 5 stars.

I was just amazed how heavy and beautiful finish. I couldn't be happier. VERY NICE!!!! Strong and very durable. The price was great and I ordered 6 of them and each one was in perfect condition. IT IS AMAZON AND THEIR VENDORS THAT HAVE SUCH HIGH QUALITY ITEMS. Thank you again for such great stuff. I love how I can shop here and never have a bad review.

These are heavy duty brackets. As others have reported, they were just tossed into a box with zero padding so they arrived banged up. All of the holes were of consistent size. As others have reported, one of the holes is in a difficult spot, but with the right extension or screwdriver you can work around the problem. The worst problem is that these brackets are nowhere close to being square. See my pics, but they are out of square in both dimensions. This is making my project way too complicated.

These brackets are perfect for supporting a breakfast bar. I used 3 for my 6 foot long bar and they did the job. No give when you lean on the bar. I haven't tried it, but I believe you could stand on the bar and not get any sag. Very sturdy.
