would the small or medium be best for my Senegal?

I have an Umbrella Cockatoo and use the medium. I would use a medium for your bird.

Can you use this as a floor stand piece?

Hello......Well it is only 26 inches high. Not sure how tall you want it to be. I made a bird tree out of a pine 4" X 4" X 6' high.....attached 2 X 4 s to the bottom to make it stand and then drilled holes in it to attach the Java Wood branches. Get 2 , 3, or even 4 and make it look like a real tree. Your birds will love it!! Good luck :)
