I have never seen any requirement for java or adobe air that I saw mentioned in some other comments. Please note I have only used the web interface. I don't regret buying. Despite a few annoyances with the lack of HTTPS it is a quality fast 10GB switch for a fair price (all things considered).

I like this switch a lot. I've been running it in my home lab for a few months now without any major issues. Combine it with ConnectX-3 EN cards (readily available for cheap) and you have a great small ESXi cluster.I do have a few small problems with it:(1) There is no way to power off the switch. There is only a "reboot" option in the web console. How difficult would it have been to put in an option to gracefully shut down the switch?(2) It is pretty loud. Not obnoxious, but loud enough I can hear it running outside of my small home office if the door is open. I knew this would probably be the case, so I am not too upset. The fans don't seem to adjust based on the heat production, however - I have six 1GB ports in use and 2 10GB, and and the rest are essentially disabled via the green ethernet features. It would have been nice if the fans adjusted their speed based on this.

Works well. Bought it for the 10GBe ports and I don't know if its the cables or the ports but one does not "bite" into the port and hold all that great (the slightest bump and it loses connection), but since it is production I cannot experiment with what's up. It works great otherwise.The UI is easy enough and I had a couple configuration issues that Netgear support was fantastic and fast with helping with.

I have two of these, and they've been working great. The web UI is pretty good, and there's a cisco-like CLI available via telnet on port 60000 if you want it. I swapped out the fan with this PWM fan, and the switch is nearly silent but still stays cool.  Evercool-40x40x20mm-Dual-Ball-Bearing EC4020SH12BP

Absolutely perfect. 24/7 uptime since I installed it. Lots of features like VLANs. Excellent 10Gb connectivity with two copper 10gbBase-T ports and two SFP+ 10gn fiber ports. Future proof.

I wanted to install my switch today for the first time and when I try to power it on, only a dim orange light is lit and everything else is not working. I shipped this device to Beirut-Lebanon and now I have a non-working switch.

The switch took just a few minutes to get up and running and has been working flawlessly since installed. Firmware update was a breeze and I prefer this switch’s GUI over my previous Cisco switch. The 10Gbe RJ45s are providing incredible speed between my NAS and primary server and avoided me needing to invest in additional SFP+ hardware.

I found very useful the very easy to use web GUI. The advantages of having 10g ports in the same box and their capabilities of detect the type of traffic and troubleshooting cables issues

Worked straight out of the box - and with the Smart Control Centre application it's simple to set the IP address and password to get the network switch in use ASAP.Excellent !!

Ich bin grundsätzlich mit den Netgear Switches zufrieden - hab auch genügend bereits im Einsatz.Bei dieser Bestellung aus der ProSafe Serie GS728TX - S3300-28X sollte es sich eigentlich um Neuware handeln.Geliefert wurde zwar das Modell, aber in geöffneter Umverpackung und beschädigtem Verpackungssiegel.Der Switch war bereits irgendwo in Betrieb und wurde sogar geöffnet wie an den Gehäuseschrauben erkennbar ist.Auch war der Lüfter bereits verstaubt!!!Ich habe den Switch im Moment in Betrieb werde diesen aber zurückschicken, sollten sich irgendwelche Störungen zeigen. Diese Vorgangsweise ist mir bei Amazon bis jetzt noch nicht passiert und ich werde in Zukunft ganz einfach besser aufpassen.

Der Switch ist im Verhältnis zu dem was er leisten soll/muss viel zu laut, bei fast 500€ darf man schon einen Lüfter erwarten der nicht auf einer sehr hohen unangenehmen Frequenz surrt.Muss das Ding leider zurück schicken ...Als Desktop Switch definitiv ungeeignet außer man ist schwerhörig.

Although it's a bit louder than anticipated (see item description) this switch works well and is easy to configure.

Fan is a bit noisier. I will need to replace them. Maybe put in a few more quieter fans. Doesn't matter for data center but this was for a home theater equipment room.
