Elonga Basmati Rice Premium 1121 Long Grain, 10 Lb

This is the fluffiest most fragrant longest grain rice I have ever been able to find. I exclusively buy this now for all my Persian cuisine. Dunar is still my absolute favorite out of all the other brands I have tried!

Very good rice

This is absolutely my favorite kind of rice. It is super fresh, delicious, and the quality is consistently great. I find it to be very clean; I only give it a quick wash before boiling. It cooks perfectly every time, not sticky, and is wonderfully fluffy and bright white when it's done. Highly recommend!

This was eye opening beyond anything I expected! I never seen or tasted rice like this! Never knew rice like this even exsisted,I never seen rice this long, tasted rice this tasty, and its basmati to boot, so the smell is heavenly!, I am tickled pink around this purchase! Just get it! You will marvel at this gift from heaven. Puts most other rices, although hey all have their place... on the top of the heapI should selfie the look on my face as I study it each time I look at it! How did they do this? Masters! That's how, ''this is no simple grain. It's Extraordinary!"

I love this rice. A little pricey or I would have given 5 stars. I usually would only buy rice when I got chinese food. Not a huge rice eater. But I tried Basmati - Carolina brand and I liked it alot. So I will make it more often now. I would always buy house rice or pork fried and I decided I could make better, more tailored versions at home - fresher and control ingredients. Basmati is one of the most healthy rices as well and I'd rather this than overloading on pasta sides with so many empty carbs. I do find Dunar Basmati needs a good amount of rinsing to avoid that pasty look once cooked. Perfect for rice pudding but otherwise a good amount of rinsing is necessary. I don't like wasting that much water just to rinse rice. The Carolina brand I never rinsed, it's almost like it has already been well rinsed before packaging and it was perfect once cooked. Taste just as good. So, I may go back to that once this bag is gone.

I've tasted Jasmine rice, red sprouted rice, Korean med grain rice, short grain rice, and Uncle Ben's, and - when properly prepared - this is the most flavorful rice. It has to be rinsed repeatedly, and then cooked according to directions for Persian rice dishes for this rice to achieve its full qualities, fit for royalty. EDIT: I've since started using the "PASTA METHOD" of cooking this rice and I simply measure the dry rice into a pot of lightly salted boiling water and boil until done and then drain all the water out and put it back in the pot and let it sit for a few minutes to dry out. Fluffy all the time.... no rinsing preps needed. Serve it with a sweet and savory fruit stew - perfect. I purchased three bags of this because of the special Prime offer. I would order this again.

My whole family agrees that this is the best Basmati there is. Treat it gently and fluff after you leave it alone to cook. This is not a sticky rice, super high quality never seen bugs/debris after more bags than I can count, cooks like white rice and the aroma is pure and nutty.
