First the pros: This drone is very easy to fly, very durable, and excitingly fast! It has decent battery life; (about 20 minutes on a battery.) The case was and extra props made were very nice bonus. The pictures and video were pretty good for a beginner drone. I was actually quite pleased with the camera quality and control over the camera.Now the cons: The LED lights are way too dim to be of any use unless you are within 2M of the drone. The controller never did fit my phone properly; the gripper would mash down on my volume or power buttons; (I have a Galaxy S9+) or the phone would pop out of the controller. The radio signal between the drone and the controller would unexpectedly drop out without warning. (I was in a clear field with no interference flying <20m altitude and ~75-100m downrange on a clear day with no wind.) This happened on several occasions. until the day when I was flying over a group of trees when I lost signal, and the drone crashed into the trees. I tried using the signal connection to locate the drone, but could never get closer than 3M. Note, it is impossible to find a small black drone in a wooded area. I would suggest adding some bright stickers or paint marks to help visualize the drone.

In my opinion, this is an awesome drone for beginners and experienced drone pilots alike. I have owned mine for about a month, and I have flown it at least a half dozen times each week since then. It is a very fast, strong, and responsive flier. GPS position hold and altitude hold functions work perfectly well, as do all the return-to-home functions I tested. The overall fit and finish of the drone, as well as the brush-less motor propulsion system, should persuade you this is a good hobby-grade drone rather than a toy. Take good care of this drone, making sure your propellers are in perfect condition in order to get good drone performance, and I believe it will return the favor and take good care of you. Is the on-board camera great? If you are a serious amateur or professional photographer, the answer is no. The camera does not have sophisticated image stabilization features necessary to produce professional-grade video or still photography images, but then again, if you happened to buy this reasonably priced quad-copter, you did not pay for those pricey features. So what? The images you get from the on board camera are still good enough to document your flight and see what's over the horizon. By the way, the remote controller supplied with this quad is superb: Not only does it communicate well with the quad, but it displays a lot of great telemetry about your flight. Final thoughts? Even when I acquire more advanced drones in the future … to satisfy my own desire to produce better aerial video and photographs … this MJX Bugs 4w is bound to remain one of my favorite quad-copters. It flies like a champ, and I consistently have a hard time putting the remote controller away for the day in order to move on with other projects and play time! What does that tell you?(Important P.S. to prospective buyers who live at high altitude: my home is at 8,000 feet above sea level. The MJX Bugs 4w flies great up here).

Purchased this drone and I was impressed with the quality of the drone and the controller. I didn't get a chance to fly it until a few weeks after I purchased it. Yesterday was perfect so I went to my nearest park. I unfolded the drone and went through the process of calibrating the drone and eventually calibrating the gyros from the controller. First thing I did was unlock the motors to warm them up and off I went. I immediately noticed the drone not keeping position. It would raise in altitude on its own and loose its positioning. Because of that, I decided to return it. Additionally, while flying it I noticed that the motors would almost lose power as I was going up.in altitude. I did recalibrate everything but that didnt make any difference. Not taking a chance in my $250 purchase.

This is the best drone for the money. Customer service is top notch if you get it through Eliment digital. I recommend this drone for anyone. Super easy to fly. These are some of the pictures I took with my Bugs 4w.

This is a great beginner drone. Make sure the first few times you operate it you are out in an open area, the controls can be sensitive.

They sent me a package that had been opened. First thing I did was try to place my phone in the contr9, wouldn't work the phone holder did not pull out completley looked at it and the screen was scuffed up. Back in the box it went.

My first flight with this drone lasted about two minutes until the signal dropped and the drone returned home. On the second flight, after less than one minute of flight time the drone simply shut down and fell to the ground. I decided to spend the money and buy a Mavic mini. The Mavic cost twice as much, but it has been a great drone.

Remote control was easy to use. The battery lasted as it said it would. And it was very stable flight. I have flown it in a breezy day and it was stable. It is an easy flyer. The camera and video is good quality 👍
