Best net I've had
Probably the best net I've ever gotten, it has a long handle when extended, and durable even when unfolded. There's so little and easy assembly that there basically isn't any.

Absolutely GREAT!!
I have never had a better critter net. It is sturdy and well built. It extends nicely and the net is the right balance between durability and weight. It does get a little flimsy at full extension and a bit of care is needed if you are swooping long swings. But for the catching of moths and butterflies, it is great. I have yet to harm any of the insects I catch that are meant to be released. In fact, even the ones that are to be mounted have yet to be harmed by the net/catch.I also use it to catch big bottle flies for a couple of spiders we have in display cases. The frame stands up nicely to the rapid movements chasing these bigger flies.Having never bought my own net I wasn't sure about what I would get compared to what I have used in the past. This is as good a net as I have used or seen.

Fine for light use
I was looking for a net to catch small fish on the river. I like the netting, it's open mesh enough to let the water flow through yet small enough to catch the smallest minnows. The way it screws together is easy to assemble. It would be great for frogs, bugs, etc. in the air, and captive bait fish. In the Mississippi river I just need a bit sturdier construction to force it threw the water like I do without breaking it. Good for most uses.

Kept my Kids busy for hours at the creek!!
My kids absolutely loved this net. We took it for a week at a creek cabin and my 3 kids shared it. I totally wish I'd have gotten more than just one. Favorite features:- It was small enough to catch water bugs and tiny slugs at- Great quality, not flimsy or cheap- The expandable handle was such a cool feature. When my 2 year old played with it we kept the handle short, my 4 year old liked it to the middle setting and my 7 year old liked to use it at it's full length- We could use it in the water and also to catch butterflies!- Super affordableNo cons, really. It was a great affordable investment and I'd 100% buy it again!

Works
Use to catch quail for relocation. Long net makes it easy.

Good, solid Net.
We have a Carpenter Bee infestation under our upstairs porch and I bought this net to help deal with the problem. So far I have caught over 25 of the "little cigars" and dispatched them! The telescoping handle is ideal as it allows me to reach really high to catch the high fliers and then shorten the handle when needed for close quarters swings. The handle is very sturdy in all positions and the net is large enough and sturdy enough to hold the bees when they enter. It has held up really well given the number of swings I have taken and the number of times the handle has been opened and retracted. It has out performed my expectations!!!!!

Butterflies don't mind it at all
What to say about a butterfly net? Well - what's critically important is that it not harm the butterfly. And that it be sturdy and big enough to catch the butterfly (without hurting or scaring it to death) This net does it all and does it beautifully. I've been raising Monarch butterflies and had to move the milkweed into a caged pool deck to protect the eggs from wasps. But when the butterflies emerge from the chrysalis, they fly around trying to find a way out - by going up. It's been a lot of work coaxing them onto a pool net and then carefully taking them to the door - ten or fifteen attempts in each case. With this net I easily moved 19 in about two hours. They don't seem to be afraid and, in fact, don't immediately fly away when I have them outside. So - five stars and a hearty recommendation if you raise butterflies

Chemical smell upon opening
I got two of these nets for my kids to go trick or treating while not getting within 6 feet of someone handing candy out. I opened them up and was hit with a horrible chemical, plastic smell. It was awful. We ended up sending them back right away since we didn't want to use them for trick or treating. They seemed sturdy, but the net seemed like it could rip easily.
