BioCare Slippery Elm Intensive

Strange to see so many bad reviews for this, yes its pricey, but it works. Taske first thing in the morning hence why it's a PRE biotic. Take first thing and dont eat for as long as you can after, it will alkalise the gut, make sure you give it a good stir and get all the bits, there is a reason it's in a powder form, it should be taken stirred and not as a capsule.. this is a very high quality product, and it really works.

This product did not help acid reflux. Had to discontinue as it made it worse. Possibly the inclusion of cinnamon in the ingredients was irritating. Its a shame as there are many positive reviews for it. It could simply be that everyone is different and different products work for different people. In terms of the consistency it was fairly easy to take (follow the instructions to stop it floating on top of your water) as its a small concentrated amount, and the flavour is palatable- again because of the small amount and cinnamon. Easier to take than larger volumes of mucilagenous non concentrated extract. However found it quite expensive.

This product had little or no taste. I am unable to comment about how effective it due to the fact that the product has been contaminated by an invited "guest" in my home. I only managed to take the product once. As anything one is taking that is natural needs to be taken more than once inorder to determine its effectiveness. It is my understanding that slippery Elm is good for digestive issues as it lines the stomach lining. I do have experience of using other products by the Biocare brand and have always found them effective.

I have been using this in conjunction with medication from my GP and between them they have given me respite from tummy inflammation. Flavour is OK, but then I am not keen on cinnamon which is an active ingredient.

Product used for acid reflux, has worked well, I fully recommend this product. Bio Care is an excellent make and can be relied upon.
