Acer Aspire One D255-2256 Replacement LAPTOP LCD Screen 10.1" WSVGA LED DIODE (Substitute Replacement LCD Screen Only. Not a Laptop )

The replacement screen fit perfectly and works fine ; I'm using it now in fact! The only negative was it came with no installation instructions or even a website where to find the instructions. I had to view three different websites and put the information from them together to figure it out. The challenge was getting the old screen out without damaging the laptop. Also a micro-miniature philips screwdriver was required which I found in the optical department of my local department store. This would have also been helpful information at the time of purchase.

All you need is a small size pricision screw driver set from the Dollar Tree, and this screen. Undo the Bezel screws (2), snap off the Bezel, undo 4 more screws, carefully take the old screen off from the tape, remove the snap in cable for the screen and reverse the process with the new screen! And presto! Your screen is perfect as new. No dead pixels, very good resolution... Buy from this seller... Awesome deal, great fit, and quick shipping... I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

When I dropped my netbook and destroyed the screen, I was told by the store that sold it to me that fixing it would cost only $20 less than a new one -- I was not happy. I looked on-line for repair options and found that the screen was sold as a stand-alone item and that there were a number of YouTube videos showing how to install it. I had never attempted anything like computer repair before but when the newly installed screen lit up, I have to confess that I was quite pleased myself and you can be pleased with yourself, too, as this is very easy to do. Even better, the project only cost $40 instead to $210.

The screen on my netbook had cracked. I ordered this. After following a simple five minute youtube video, I had the old screen out in no time, the new screen replaced just as quickly, and my netbook repaired for just over $50. It would have cost me easily $150 to get it fixed by a "professional"The color, the resolution. Everything is easily better than was on the screen it's replacing.My one complaint is the fact that the screen is a hard finish, which reflects light a bit too easily. I would have preferred a matte finish, but nobody makes screens like that anymore. Or at least not for this netbook.

Fairly dexant for 35 bucks easy to install exackly same as old one the main complaint i have is that the pacaging was not super rigid and if bent it could break althoug soft it could break and that there was a light spot on the screen about 1/2 by 1/2 inch othan that great product has been runing 1 hr per day for three months now

I followed a tutorial on Youtube (and the instructions that came with this... that referred to tutorials online...) to replace my broken Aspire One's screen... and it worked great! It's like having a new Acer netbook again. Yay! I can get another few years out of it (now that I installed Linux Mint on another partition).Instructions were not exactly self-explanatory, but workable once I watched the tutorials. Give it a shot!

Purchased this to replace my LCD that got stepped on and had to pay $85 for a computer repair company to install it. After only a week I noticed that there were several bad pixel starting to show. I asked the company if they would replace it and they told me that its "industry standard" to have a few bad pixels and they would not replace it. After going around and round with them, they finally said they would take a look at it but no promises on them replacing it. I asked if they would pick up the tab for me to have the computer repair place remove and replace tge defective LCD they sold me and install a new one, they said no!Most sellers on Amazon will send you a replacement item no questions asked if the one they sold you originally was broken or defective, but not this company. Amazon does not need buyers like this and I hope this review has an impact on their business.Bad business ethnics and horrible, rude customer service is what this company is all about. Take it from me....steer clean of this seller and their products.

pros: inexpensive (compared to spending the money to have a "professional" replace your screen), well made, very easy to install yourself, no dead pixels. just requires unscrewing a total of 6 screws, popping off the cover and attaching a cable.cons: not free.other notes: the tape used to hold the cable that plugs into the led screen lost most of its stickiness when peeling it from the old screen. It should stay on but time will tell. Easy fix though so not worried.
