PETZLGrigri 2 Belay Adult

I thought I had gotten the wrong item, but realized that the Grigri “2” isn’t in circulation anymore- they just upgraded the original Grigri to be the same thing! Works great and feels a little safer than the older models.

I've used an ATC, a Trango Vergo, and this thing. This is by far the easiest and safest thing out there. I've seen too many nasty falls with ATC's. One thing to note: I ordered a Grigri II and received the newest iteration. I called the supplier and they were very helpful in explaining you can't really get a II anymore. When you look at the package just make sure it states made in France and the Mfg date is 2019 or later. That's when the newest stuff was released. Love this thing!!!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter in law. My son sent me the link and I ordered it. She loved it and said it is the perfect light weight climbing bag. She loved that it was gray so it would hide dirt :)

I never trusted the ones I rent from the climbing facilities, so my climbing partner and I invested in this - and I do NOT regret it!It feels super sturdy. These Assisted-Breaking ones are much better than the tubular ones, so if you're new to rock-climbing and feeling iffy about belaying, this is definitely the safer choice. Tubular ones have more flexibility but these Assisted Breaking ones make sure your partner doesn't slip much if you weren't paying attention to them.

I’ve been climbing for awhile now and used these at climbing gyms before. But starting off with a regular ATC and climbing with it for awhile, def added how thankful I should be for devices like this. Makes it super easy to belay and love that it takes so much less effort in case of a fall.

The GriGri 2 has be tried and tested by many climbers and when used properly is one of the safest bely devices on the market. If you decide to purchase this make sure you have the proper knowledge on how to use the device and how to load the rope. Always double check that the rope is loaded properly before allowing your climber to climb and always make sure that anyone you lend the device off to also know how to use the device properly. This device allows my 9.8mm rope to pass through the device with minimal snagging when letting out slack on lead and allows for a controlled lowering of my climber after a climb.This is not an auto locking device, it is assisted breaking though so as a climber I have a little bit more piece of mind with a belayer using this device over a classic tube style device in the off chance that my belay gets knocked out by a falling rock and is no longer able to maintain a hand on the break strand.

El grigri, para mí el asegurador por excelencia.Perfecto para gente que empieza por la facilidad de uso. Si es cierto que no suelta tan bien cuerda como otros, pero si me da más seguridad al uso.Lo recomiendo por que mi entorno todo el mundo lo usa y así no tengo que enseñar a usarlo cuando me aseguran. Lo recomiendo totalmente. y el color es genial, iba a comprármelo en plata pero en este color solo yo lo tengo, así no hay duda de que es el mío :)Lo recomiendo absolutamente
