NO MIC ADAPTOR
This was not made clear, so please be aware that there is NO microphone adaptor with this setup. I just had to buy one separately for $64.00. For those of you who are new to this technology, such as I am, I'm talking about the 'box' that is shown in the photos that the microphone is plugged in to.

Won’t work with a Gro Pro Hero 7 Black. Don’t buy this.
This does not fit Go Pro Hero7 Black if you want an external microphone. The side door where you plug in the adapter (which is NOT INCLUDED IN THIS KIT) will not Open while the camera is installed in the holder. Do not buy this if you have a Hero 7Black - it’s pretty much worthless.

THE POST WAS SOMEWHAT DECEIVING. NO MIC ADAPTOR.
The post is not mentioning that the mic adaptor is not included in the package. Yet, they include that in the picture. I felt like I got scammed.

Good over all package
The overall package is good and the mic is functional using a GoPro Hero 7 Black.Pros: Good for vlogging for a static environment with GoPro Hero 7 Black and GoPro audio adapter.Cons: The mic becomes unusable on a motorcycle with wind noise at 45kph/28mph and just pops/clicks even with a dead cat covering the mic.RØDE Wireless Go using the same GoPro Hero 7 black and GoPro audio adapter works a lot better.

Nice little package! I would recommend!
Great package! If you have a gopro 7, 6, or 5 and want to add external mic, this covers it. People who expected the GoPro mic adapter to come with this package is silly! That adapter alone is $50 usd! Case from Ulanzi is great! I like how it come out to wrap around to the lens front edge for added protection. Mic from Saramonic, TSR, so it's perfect! AND it comes with a mini tripod for your desk too! All plastic but it'll do the job. Very nice!

Not a Good Fit -
The main issue I have with this is the side opening is not large enough to allow the Gopro connection door to open. It is impossible to plug the external microphone adapter into the Gopro using this housing. I had to use a Dremel Tool and enlarge the hole in this housing in order to get everything to function correctly to use the external mic. Huge Design Flaw !!

Love the all-in-one portability of this setup! Ready set vlog!
Perfect set up to vlog with a GoPro hero 7 black! Or any compatible GoPro the sound is awesome on the mic and it’s so compact! Love it!

Great Entry Level Vlog Kit
Wow, i really wasn't expecting much with this kit but i am very impressed with the quality. The case is very robust and tight.. it holds my GoPro Hero 5 in one place with no rattles at all, the mic adaptor slot could do to be a little more refined (maybe a little door to eliminate the chance of it falling out) but other than that its a notch away from perfect. There's a cold shoe above the lens to enable you to use a different mic or even a continuous lamp. The mic is a genuine Saramonic SR-XM1 and is very impressive also, it does seem a little flimsy out of the box but after you get over the initial fear of breaking it you will find that its a very strong piece of kit both inside and out! the sound quality is great but you may want to buy a set of wind muffs just to help with that extra sound protection. As for the tripod.... again a fab piece of kit, a little small for my big hands but that's my problem. Build quality is good but i'm not sure it would react to being dropped very well (ill probably find out soon enough)Overall like i say n the headline this is a great entry level vlog kit that can be upgraded as and when you feel the need.

Where’s the mic cable and connection box??
After opening my vlog set up for Gopro Hero 7, I was disappointed to find that there was only the microphone and microphone cover with the mic package, no cable, or connection box that fits under the Ulanzi V2 casing.As “Vlog Set Up” I was expecting these two items so I would be “set up” can someone explain before I send the whole lot back?

Falsely advertised. Does not include all the parts advertised.
Only received a microphone. There was no case or tripod included as advertised. It's getting returned straight away for being falsely advertised. Not what I expect from Amazon. Seems that other people have had the same issue.

Sometimes Does not work
When the mic works it provides excellent clear audio on my recordings. on occasion some recording had no sound, not sure if its the mic or the mic adapter for the gopro. I have had the mic fro 3 months and have used it a lot for my YouTube recordings and has performed excellent 98% of the time. a good purchase for use with GOPRO
