Mom can use it across her lap while sitting in bed to hold reading material, a meal, or her bedtime hygiene supplies (toothbrush, facecloth, cream, hairbrush, small basin). We really like that it has a slight raised edge all the way around the surface to prevent things from sliding off. It is not too heavy or cumbersome for staff: they can easily unfold it and set it in place for her.

This was a great bedside tray for meals. But 6mos in the legs began coming off when I was simply trying to fold them in. After 5-6 times of this happening, I chucked it to recycle. Getting one with better folding mechanism.

This product is made of sturdy plastic except for the plastic tab that locks the legs into place is made of poor design. This tab broke off with less than 90 days of use. The company only warranties the entire unit for 30 days from the date of purchase. This would lead someone to assume that the company knew of its defectiveness and short period of use. I do not recommend the purchase of this product especially for the selling price of almost $40. Most companies that believe in their product extend their warranties to at least a minimum of 1 year, if not 3-5 years. Should the company fix this problem, extend the warranty and make the tab stronger, then I would update this review and would consider repurchasing the product. We will see if this Company changes its ethical views on business and puts the consumers needs and request for a better product into action.
