Great
Great addition to the IK game. Love all the added fluff and mechanics. Most of our group were excited to use new game mechanics with their characters. I saw a few more classes that instantly inspired my imagination and hopefully get a chance to play. Extra monsters were pretty viscous >:) If you like the IK RPG and want a more fantasy feel than this is for you.

Very detailed sourcebook
Disclaimer: I don't actually play the game, but I do love steampunk and enjoy reading these "setting" sourcebooks. This is a densely packed book, full of a ton of information on the Iron Kingdoms. It's amazing how much effort was put into creating all the history and characters. The art is great and the layout is easy to follow. My only minor complaint is I wish they would've broken out the gods and religions a little better, but it's a small detail to be honest. Great book; I wholly recommend it if you like this sort of thing.

Like National Geographic: Immoren
As my title states, it's like a National Geographic overview of the Iron Kingdoms. This thing is packed, and I mean PACKED with setting material. It goes in depth into the political, trade, and military setup of each nation. It's extremely high quality, full color. The maps are the best Privateer Press has ever offered. It also has beautiful, high-quality art that shows how vast the cities of the Iron Kingdoms are. It also has additional gear and career options. A great purchase.

It's a big book of setting details. If that sounds appealing, it doesn't disappoint.
So, this is clearly done with love and care. The setting is beautifully detailed, and here it receives the attention it deserves.Yes, there are some mechanics - new professions, Jacks and such - but the draw here is the rich detailing of the titular Iron Kingdoms. Definitely a military history flavor, but it's executed here in better form tan one tends to see in RPGs.

It's a handy book. The only drawback is that a lot of the information about the nations is redundant. But all the new classes, class variants, equipment, and detailed maps makes up for the flaw.
