Great value, working with hopper 3
Installing a satellite dish is almost never a simple task. It did turn out to be quite tricky for me because of three important reasons. 1. Hopper 3 has many bugs including that while you're using the dish pointing interface it might stop working with any warning, this can happen just visually or just with the audio hum or with both just stopping. Having originally not realized this I wasted lots of time, once I realized this I simply had to continually jump in and out of the interface to make this work (a hassle but doable). 2. I did not realize that using the signal finder before connecting the satellite to the receiver is apparently a waste of time (per their tech support). 3. Dont assume that the satellite is inline with the center of the dish to the LNB, i recommend clear skies from the vector created from center of dish to LNB (and out to space) and up for at least another 30 degrees of incline (look this up if you have any doubt).Although I had these struggles i have to admit that this system is much cheaper than other portable systems I found and that the customer service was great (free tech support). I only wish I had called earlier.

Works with Wally
Works with new Wally and Previous model. Does not need any kind of a splitter switch or power injector. Was easy to assemble. Just a line according to your location and plug in the coaxial cable to the receiver. You will need to add the Wally to your dish account first. I the antenna gets approximately 50% or more signal strength.

Do Not Purchase
We wasted our money purchasing this. We tried for days trying to get it to work. I call 3 times before I ever received a call back from the tech. We did exactly what he said to do and it still didn't work. Needless to say I guess we will have to purchase a different one from another company. I should have listened to the reviews and looked at their BBB ratings. It seems as though we are not the only ones who have had issues.

Good for what it is but not clear for what receivers will work with it.
Brought to use with an RV with two wally receivers. Information did not say what it work with other than Dish. Received the dish and easy enough to put together and setup the satellite. However, it worked with one wally off the 1st port but the second one would not work. Called Dish and was told they think I need to add a hybrid splitter, Hybrid Solo Hub, from Amazon. Order and got it and installed it but all directions were for a Hopper 3 and nothing showed a Wally. It did not work and called Dish again. This time they said they did not and call for a tech to come out and look at it. I decided to go to a local Dish store and found the owner more than helpful. First, he said the 1000.2 Hybrid Dish West Arc is for a Dish Hopper 3 and will not work on a Wally. I was able to get the proper LNBF - DPPro to replace the Hybrid DPH LNBF. I replaced the LNBF with the DPPro and both Wally work fine now with the proper LNBF.

It does work with a Wally, up and running in a few minutes.
OK, previous reviews seem to be a bit misleading. I tried to get this to work as per instructions and just gave up. Partially, it was very hot and humid, and I just couldn't keep going. But, I checked with SatPro and they did assure me that this indeed, worked with a Dish Wally. So I gave it another shot. I kept getting a big fat zero on the "Satellite Finder" that came with it. So I discarded that and just used a monitor and the Wally, in diagnostic mode (where you can view the satellite signal strength) and I had it working in just a few minutes. My guess is that the "satellite finder" is bad.The product itself, seems to be pretty good. But the tripod is really cheaply made, but does work. It has some "heading" numbers stamped on it, but that should be used as only a general guide. I used a military compass to point it and it was easier than I thought, it doesn't need to be very precisely pointed as I thought. One thing I did, was tie a piece of string on the dish/horn assembly. It runs from the very center/top of the dish, to the center of the middle horn, this allows pretty easy directional pointing, just sight down the string. One issue is, we have a Winegard system on top of our RV that this is meant to replace later (new RV). It was working just fine. All I did was swap inputs to the wally (and maybe run diagnostics), and this system was working fine. When I switched back to the Winegard system, it refuses to work now. No idea why other than something changed during diagnostics , and won't change back. And SatPro did assure me that this system is indeed a HD receiver. Our current Winegard (and house units) as stamped "HD", this Dish receiver (dish) doesn't have the HD stamped on it, but it's supposed to be an HD unit.Overall, I'd buy it again, but I do wish it would come with a better "satellite finder" (waste of time using that thing) and a better quality tripod. I may look for a replacement for that or make something to replace it.

Old fashioned technology
After buying this I realized that it's very old technology and not the best choice for me or my money 💰

When full-timing in an RV...
When full-timing in an RV and you have more than one tv, or record other shows while watching tv this is a must. I see a lot of RV's with the "Tailgater" but that's what it is for, tailgating. Easy to setup and much cheaper than the roof mount with auto-tune. Keep a few tent spikes to keep it steady during high winds if on ground. Maybe lead weights if on pavement/concrete.

Good basic satellite dish for semi permanent installation.
Dish part worked well, but had to resort to the internet to get it correctly pointed. Pointing these things is a bit of an art and it wasn't real clear from the instructions. It should be noted the setup is bulky and I don't see us taking it on the road. It is, however great for a long term setup,
