if I cancel automatic renewal will I be charged an extra fee?

I agree with previous answers in that Norton did turn auto renew back on when i turned it off, over one month before the expiration they charged my card over $100. However, there is a 30 or 60 dqy period where you can cancel and they will refund the charge. I did not have to call as i was able to do it all online and the money was refunded immediately. I can not help but believe there is something improper about that transaction, as i have been cancelling and rebuying a subscription yearly for awhile and never had the turn off auto renew button turned back on after i had turned it off. But getting my refund easily on line so a quick resolution - i am embarassed to say that i made no formal complaint.

Do I have to uninstall my present Norton 360 to install the new version?

My case may be unique but my experience was that I did. My previous Norton version was provided by my ISP, Comcast aka Xfinity. When Comcast dropped Norton, I had to remove that version in order to get the new version registered to my direct account.

I still have days left on current download, do I need to redeem new software right away?

The code given to you for your new software can be redeemed whenever you need it. It doesn’t need to be right away.
