Ridiculously great reel at this price point! Wow!I have 6 Kastking reels and 4 of their rods, and this is by fare the best reel at the $30 range on the market.I picked the 2000 size and got it discounted and coupon for $24, so I bought another today.Fished with it first day it arrived and caught a few fish on it and it works flawlessly.Quiet. Smooooooth. Drag works great!Lightweight, but strong.They run large for the size rating, in my opinion, but not heavy at all.Blown away!Great job Kastking.

Very professional product. I have nothing negative to say about this company. They pay attention to the details all the way down to the packaging giving you all the info you need to properly maintain your reel. As for the reel itself I love the feel of it and the rubber handle piece is awesome! Thanks for being a dependable manufacturer that delivers on its promises!

I recently bought this reel to go with my son's first big boy pole and he did great with it. I used it for a bit and it cast smooth and is a very well constructed reel. Very happy with it.

The likes: well engineered,design and functions point to a strong reel.Paired with a Kastking line may prove that even more.Entire mechanism feels smooth and balanced.Dislikes : not really,colors are a bit different but is not a issue just matter of personal choice if you care anyway, looks goodon any road.

I have been fishing for over 30 year. I have fished recreationally and in large tournaments throughout my years. I have purchased expensive and cheap gear, some good and some really bad. This reel seems to be this companies mid-grade level gear. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this because it is really hard to base a lot of info from reviews on an item like this. Some people have never felt what a $300.00 reel feels like. If you only occasionally recreational fish, you probably shouldn't know what they feel like. I really like the feel of this reel so far. I have joined their fan page and am now looking at some of their higher end stuff. I will use this reel for a few more months to check the durability out but so far I am very satisfied with this reel considering the feel to how much it cost. Hopefully we will have a company that can compete for a reasonable price!

You will have to try very hard to find a better spinning reel for the money. Very smooth. Stylish. Like all Kast King spinning reels, it's value and performance far outweigh its cost.

Great looking reel. Feels solid. Spins smoothly. It seems a little heavier but that could speak for quality. It's made out of some kind of metal. My reels in the past have mostly been cheap plastic. I really like this reel and will buy another one possibly the bigger size for saltwater surf fishing.
