Great for toddler proofing
I got this because our three year old kept turning on the Fossett. I attached it was a key ring, and then used a command hook to hang it above the Fossett out of reach. It does take a minute to get the prongs correctly inside of the grooves, I don’t anticipate my toddler been able to manipulate the stand without the key.

It's just a key, not the founatain.
It look like you can buy a cool hose bib that takes a key to turn on. Here in the desert you don't want to waist water. But it's just a key, and there is no way to buy this hose bib!

Very nice lockout key!
This lockout key is nice and compact. I feels very sturdy and is made of thick steel. It's exactly what I needed.

Perfect solution for child proofing!
As long as you have the right brand faucet this key is the perfect solution for childproofing. We just hung the key up high near the faucet and you just grab it and turn it on, but the kids can't reach it. Now if you're looking to lock out tenants or water thieves, you'll probably want to go with one of those locking caps, but for child proofing this is great and much more convenient.

Works!
Seems to do the job. I have small children who like to leave the tap leaking just enough that it's not noticeable from inside the house, but very noticeable when you get the water bill. I was a little confused at first. By removing the knob, it allows you to use the key you are purchasing. I was thinking it was going to be a type of lock. It's not, its just a key that fits the grooves once the handle is removed. But it works. Haven't had a leaking outdoor faucet since.

Pricey - but works!
I needed a way to keep the kids from turning our outdoor spigots on. If you have a Woodford spigot, this works great! Remove the screw that holds the knob, and remove. The key can be used to turn water on and off.The only thing is the price. $10 for a small key? I ordered two...one for my key ring and one for my wife.

Pitiful attempt at security
Pitiful attempt to secure faucet from outside use. All one needs is a pair of pliers to turn water on. A lock on the actual spigot part is more effective. Returned.
