Savic Mickey X-Large Hamster Cage

This is a perfect cage for my Syrian hamster, Pip! He loves it. I love it. My kids love it! The hanging home is large enough and fun for him with all of the holes for him to explore! The tubes are big enough for him to fit through even though Pip is really large, unlike the tubes that came with his old cage and quickly outgrew. I am so pleased!!! They are made to go inside the cage so there are no exterior holes to worry about him escaping from. There are no holes, Yay! The wheel is only 7.5" so that could be bigger, but it's not terrible. The size of the wheel is my only complaint since his back is not supposed to be curved when he runs. The latches to close the opening and hook the wire to the blue plastic bottom are VERY secure! The handles are VERY sturdy. My 13 year old son helped me hook them on! Also, I loved that the black wire cage came FULLY assembled in the box! I had to send the last cage I bought back because it broke as I was connecting the wires together. I am so happy this was so easy to put together, just set the ramp/platform on the base and set the cage on top and latch, easy!!!We can fit so many toys and a bridge in this cage and there is still plenty of room for him to move around. We also fit in a small casserole dish half full of sand for him to clean his fur! (He took to it and LOVED that right away!) We couldn't have provided that in a smaller cage. We shredded colored napkins in our office shredder for bedding and put it on top of his normal odor reducing bedding for fun! This cage is great for that because it is so big, the base is very deep, 6.5", and the wire spacing is a perfect 1/4" so I can sleep at night knowing he won't escape and the bedding won't get kicked out. And when it's time for a new little baby hamster, they can't get out of the 1/4" wires spacing either! Thank You, Thank You to whomever designed this cage! The US doesn't have very many large cages for hamsters! A lot of people are making their own with IKEA Hacks! I'm so glad this cage saved me from having to do that.Now we hamster lovers just need one designed that's this same width or two inches skinnier, but twice the length so we can put it atop our sideboards in our kitchens and give them plenty of room to roam!

I have two mice in this, the bars are small enough they can't get out. The latch for the door needs to be tighter, instead of hooking it into the first bar, use the second, you'll figure it out when you see it. Otherwise that gap is too big. This is a huge cage, I put a potted plant in it for the mice to dig in, they love it. I use cardboard tubes and boxes to make more ramp to the second level, and I put a piece of cardboard on the second level so their feet don't go through the bars. Most cages you can get commercially here are WAY too small for rodents and birds, this is worth the money. Very well packaged, easy to put together, very easy to clean.

Arrives in a HUGE box, but when you open the box there's another box inside of it...then another. 3 giant boxes. I'm glad all the parts arrived undamaged since I read a review that that's happened before, so I guess their new packaging system is working.The cage itself is wonderful for my teddy bear hamster, Snacks (he's much larger than dwarf hamsters). He has a ton of room to run around and play, plus the second level is a great feature. I easily give it 5 stars for the size and space, plus it's secure. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the defective pieces it has. The cage comes with a "house" which is actually two pieces of plastic that you hang from the top of the cage. My hamster isn't tall enough to get into the house, but it totally looks cool– just doesn’t work for him. I actually think the house will be too high up for most hamsters, gerbils, mice, etc… It also comes with a defective water bottle. The part that is supposed to attach the bottle to the cage wiring was too loose so I had to buy my own. The wheel hardly spins and is very noisy, even if you put a dot of organic oil on the spinner part. I have another wheel in the cage that my hamster is already used to, so definitely don't count on the wheel being functional for your pet. I use the silent spinner, which you can see in the photos attached (I've yet to remove the wheel he likes less).Overall, the cage itself is VERY easy to assemble (god bless) and it has so much room for my hamster which is the most important part for me. I don’t care about the defective pieces, even though I was a little bummed out. I’m just glad Snacks has a very humane and lovely cage. The cage’s wiring is also very sturdy and safe. Highly recommend for the space and two-level feature! Don't get a tiny cage for your small pet thinking they don't need much room because of their size, it's worth the money to give your pet a happier and longer life! This is the perfect cage and even made the list of best hamster cages of 2016, rightfully so.

My first purchase of this cage arrived broken, corners of the pan broken off. Really wanted this specific cage so I reordered the same item. Second purchase arrived even more damaged than the first! Would be a great cage if you could receive it in one piece. Found a similar cage for half the price, moving on to another product and I highly recommend anyone else considering this cage do so as well.

Just the right size for Syrian hamster babies, large mice or dwarf hamsters. Sturdy and well made. Great value for money although I take the wheel out for syrian babies as its a bit small

Benutze den Käfig nicht als Hamsterkäfig sondern als "Anbau" für einen Meerschweinchenkäfig, dafür tut er's. Als Hamsterkäfig fände ich ihn nicht so toll, besonders das Zubehör macht meiner Meinung nach keinen Sinn.
